what happened with ban the fan poll?

didn’t it get voted to be banned like a week ago? I still see one fan in the rules for season six?
i am probably wrong and the fan is not banned but in my mind/a dream i had it had been banned and everyone hugged and tf2 became more popular than ever… and there was rainbows and a smiley sun in the sky.
but anyway… is it banned yet or do i have to keep raging?
Awww what the Ban vote was in the lead by like 30-60 votes since the poll began! like the whole way through! i had it on my calendar, i was gonna buy all the admins a Ferrari if it got banned too. shame.
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE. now we will just get perma infested with fan dicks who cant aim. do 7 damage to you and let their teams good scout kill you while you cant move. or worse a good scout who constantly manages to one shot. hardly a fair wepon! dont mind the power of it, its just the rage stun. the game was fun without it and everyone was happy with the scout. so now that they have added it in. and people dont find it fun why do we have it.
its not that the players in the league cant adjust. its that they find the bloody thing annoying. because you are forced to go against your morals and use the blasted thing yourself! WHY WHY WHY QQ

What would have actually been interesting is to see the result of a vote by 1 team leader of each team for each division. The Fan ban has been taken seriously by the community but not enuff by the admins…using a simple open poll system to judge if they should ban or not. Sure it did not determine…whatever :)
I am actually curious if any div1 teams actually desire to play with it on? :o

what get one vote from every team in etf2l… that is not a bad idea.
but obviously if the vote to keep the fan happens from this then we should ignore it and ban it anyway

Haven’t there already been like 3 polls for it? Meaning the logic of “Oh no, they want it, we have to make another poll to try and ban it now!” has already been applied.
I’m with Klu. Stop the QQ, too late to change anything now, just get on with owning the idiot when he’s reloading or whatever you feel like doing.

As far as I know they consider the FaN to be inferior to the scattergun.
Thats also the reason why improving the fan isnt really found important in the beta.

This is because they are already at the top of the skill ceiling for this game. The fan just allows players from a lower skill tier to play at a higher level. For example a div4 scattergun scout could play div3 with the fan.
what are you using Koeitje (e.g. @ badlands)?
Scatter. Cba with that gun, the sound alone makes me rage. If enemy uses quick rush techniques on mid with the fan I counter it by using the fan.
