Oh i got you wrong Moleh :p and yeh i totally agree for now as its mid way in various tourneys it’d be stupid to bring it in.

My opinion is atm is im all for the kreig being used will bring more tactical play/thought to the game :) But not just yet tbh !

I agree it should be tested first but.. u cant say it’s a random crit when it is planned and part of the game..

Ban sniper head shots and spy knife attacks!!! THEY ARE REALLY ANOYING :)

If just planning to remove the crit weapon unlockables, it’s kinda wrong since the game would anyways be left with sniper headshots & spy backstabs.

The reason why they don’t gain much notion is cos they’v been there since the early days of qwtf and tf2 too, but consider this if they were brought in by unlockables maybe there would be a different tone.

These weapons give skill based abilities, nothing random. Thus it should be in a competitive gaming of _TF2_. Yep this is TF2 and the game is evolving. I understand some die hard fanatics of trying to keep the way it was like in tfc/qwtf but this is a totally different game.

I don’t like the idea of elitism around the game, tearing up the gaming community apart. In the long run that’s what’s killing the game.

Random crits in competitive play, I agree should not be allowed. Hell I even don’t like the random damage.

Nah Byte it was my fault. It was late and I didnt think about how I worded it. I am all for allowing it in S3 but I dont think it would be fair to allow it straight away in current competitions.

I also did it because I could see getting all sorts of questions about it so I made it clear before any confusion happened, with the possibility of arguements over a game happening while admins discussed whether to allow it or not.

so for you its skill that soldier fires a rocket like 8m from your feet and you still die?

Rather than sitting and argueing in theory, if people could use it in actual pcw’s and let us know how they used it and if it works/doesnt work and help us with generally how it works out in a game then that’d help alot.

That sure does make it sound like harsh, but that’s missing the aspect of gamewise situations, when to use the kritz on what game situations. As our conversation in private it was mostly the points of views in these situations.

– You said that rushing with a demo/sol would ruin the game most propably and give insta wins and would mostly cause some clans just to stick back to second point.

That indeed could be disastrous and that’s why it should be tested out.

– My point of view was it would be propably pretty hard for the medic to stay alive in the middle unless the the team with making the kritzrush has totally annihilated the other team earlier (for example demo down, maybe scouts) and that would’be the situation where the other team would have backed out (if they’re any smart), also it would most likely need more communication from the team against, to anticipate that they’re prolly gonna rush in now.

Theoretical, yes, it just should be tested out, can’t really say anything about it yet, only theory. :)

There are few questions about the kritz that I’m curious about too so we would really get the thing how it would turn out.

– How long does the kritzkrieg last on a player after switched off?
– When the kritzkrieg wears off from a player, are his projectiless still crit damage when fired _during_ kritzkrieg

Those questions mostly would answer how usefull it would be to kritzkrieg a demoman for a jump to get the sitting ducks from the corner in for example pro granary.

These would pretty much answer is demo-medic rush really that deadly when using kritzkrieg (or soldiers of course).

But let’s just test it out and come to conclusions after that. :)

you got it wrong byte, pines aka nades and pipes aka stickys :/ tho it doesnt matter its loltastic. So every nade that hits its 295 and sticky damage variance 336-353 :E

random crits are useless, kritzkreig however, is a weapon that creates different tactics. we played with it today, and dam. the game was incredibly fast and fun. i think the tf2 scene would do good with a kritzkreig or two. its not like every team is gonna use it, some may still use regular uber. but yeah, i think its a nice spice to the game. really brings variety to the game and tactics.

Tough it was fun to read what some of you said it’s all just speculations.

If you could stop guessing and actually go try it out I would respect your comments more.

I tried it today, after going through point tactics yesterday night with Zyrre, and I can only say wow. It makes everything more fun, even for me as a medic. If you don’t belive me; PLEASE try it out yourself before you whine.

Yes, it is FUCKEN HARD to play it in the beginning, the medic is so fragile; but we never had a single standoff, and things got abit more exciting for me too. More caps in a game, more kills in a game, it makes for a better spectator game. And yes, we want that. Watching the top teams today stand off on granary and it ends in a tie as always etc etc.

Some maps like gravel and well will probably still have the normal uber used, at least in our team. I found that having a choice is fun.

I am gonna test it more. And if you ban it I am not going to play in your league.

I agree that dropping in kritzkrieg in the middle of the competitions isn’t the right way to go – but I’m all for allowing it for season 3.

this should be allowed for any upcoming etf2l competitions
