I can’t decide if it’s funny or offensive.

Inappropriate and amusing are not mutually exclusive.
I did chuckle but it probably shouldn’t be kept in seriousness.

Although Henghast is right, I still feel we could have a more interesting icon than just the generic ‘8’ for last-place teams. Maybe an arrow pointing downwards?

That wheelchair icons only symbolized the team dropped. We’re unsure about the final icon though, might end up being a plain ‘-‘.
We’re also considering having arrows for placements that are going to result in de/promotion. Stay tuned.

It’s funny but it might turn off a serious league sponsor, not to mention players with health problems. It basically shows we have a sense of humor, but are being immature at the same time.
EDIT:
Maybe put a hanging man icon? Still might be a bit immature, but nothing compared to the wheelchair.

One of the great things about eSports is that people who are wheelchair-bound can participate equally with people who aren’t (obviously depending on the nature of the disability). So no, I don’t think it’s a good idea, and I would say remove it in favour of a down arrow or something.
Despite it being funny, I wouldn’t take the risk
put the backstab killfeed icon there instead or something. or a little medic corpse.
