I recall streaming this video game for a few weeks and I had like 30 viewers tops and everyone was whining about everything, from music to x. I also had weird fps drops, probably due to the video preview sort of thing on xsplit that you can’t turn off.

Well I wouldn’t have really minded the lack of people watching if it didnt cause me issues with the game. Pretty hard to play scout when you have really annoying fps jitter that I couldn’t fix at all. Though I might’ve standed the fps issues if more people were watching, but meh.
i wish offloading the rendering part to different pc would be possible without buying 200$ capturing cards :(
I’ll be streaming again over summer and getting good at tf2.
did regular streams for few weeks of cups/pcws in d1/prem and after not getting more than 30 viewers decided to stop it :D

Rake you probably tried this but you can make the xsplit preview really small, like 320×240 so it shouldn’t have much effect on performance. Are you using a 120 Hz monitor?

People watching you want to see everything. They want to hear you scream, they want it all. If they do not like they will move on.
Internet connection and Computer capability are the only filters. I upgraded my net just for streaming. And I bought a new PC for it. But when I play scout and I am streaming, I am nowhere near as good as I can be.
You guys need to try and stream all the time. Put some effort into the labeling of your videos and put some effort into entertainment.
Lange, Unf, Seanbud, Truktruk, and myself have formed an alliance and our streams are going crazy.

I’ve been attempting to stream for a while now, however my TF2/stream is incredible laggy, xsplit tells me I drop frames a lot as well.
What’s the best settings to run TF2 at a decent rate to stream? I’d love to do it constantly but TF2 isn’t enjoyable for me in that state.
