Yes, it was definitely an open challenge because that’s the default option in the “Team” drop down menu so I just left it alone. Also once I had opened it, there were no teams mentioned in the “To” part of the Sent Challenges section, but this morning there was.
Ok, turns out the team accepted our invite ‘accidentally’ and after talking to them, they didn’t want to play us and rejected the challenge.
So, I set up another open invite and some Russian team have accepted I think, but it still says “Awaiting Response”. It’s going to get pretty annoying if we put out an open challenge, some team accepts it but doesn’t confirm and then doesn’t play us. I’ve added 3 members of Russian Noobs Team to Steam but can’t get in touch, so does that mean our invite for a match tonight cannot be seen by anyone else on the ladder?

Can you guys make it possible so teams can revoke open challenges they have sent? Because I just set an open challenge and I entered a wrong time, so I had to contact an admin to fix it.

Although I’m not a leader, deputy or war arranger for my highlander team I do seem able to accept open challenges for the highlander ladder. I didn’t actually click it as I didn’t want to waste people’s time, but I can see them and it certainly looks like they’re clickable…

This very much sounds like a bug – it shouldn’t be possible to reject an open challenge – you either accept it (status -> “Accepted”), or you don’t.
Teams accidentally accepting an open challenge and then refusing to play is covered in the rules, I think, but these are old and may need revising. we’ll get to that at some point.

If you go to the teams page http://etf2l.org/wp/wp-admin/index.php?page=teams can you see any Edit Roster or Edit Team links?

Nope, I only have the 6v6 team and the ultiduo…ermmm duo that I can play with in there.
In that case you definitely do not have leader rights :D

What I suspect has been happening is as follows:
1.) We’ve sent out an open challenge
2.) Some team clicked accept
3.) The team realised who we were and didn’t want to play us :(
4.) The team has an option of accepting or rejecting before a match page is created, therefore they rejected
5.) We get notification emails saying our challenge was rejected and it is listed as Rejected in the team admin page.
We accepted an open challenge for a team earlier this week, but after the initial acceptance, we had a 2nd chance to accept or reject the challenge before there was a match page. Once we accepted, the match page appears.
I assume if you accept an open challenge the first time, that is when the match page should be created? So this could be a bug.

How many penalty points are incurred if you are 12 years late for a match?

It doesn’t surprise me they managed to cock up the date. Both of these teams accepted our open challenges and refused to play us in the end.

Sadly penalty points are added per day, regardless of what the scheduled date is. I’ll be nice and edit their date, anyhow.
@monkeh; soon! Just want to test this one thing but really need a div3 team for it..
