So as I’m sure everyone is aware ETF2L is in a bit of turmoil at the moment, with players crying about unlocks, map pools and freeing Beveran – cry’s which ETF2L have only appeared to deal with by a forum post here or there. I am not saying that ETF2L don’t care, far from it, but on the outside it appears that they’re pretty much doing nothing. I for one as a player feel very isolated from the goings on in a league I love, with pretty much no input into it what so ever.

With S9 fast approaching and problems with unlocks and map pools still unresolved I would say we have a pretty big issue on our hands here. Therefore I propose a vote into the issue of unlocks and map pools. ETF2L themselves tell us that our team admins have the right to vote on Issues raised within the league

“All clans that support this new league will be asked to nominate a single player from their clan who will act as their clan admin. This player will be responsible for posting results, match reports and news as well as having voting rights on any issue raised within the league.”

“It is this league’s intent to provide the TF2 community with a league for clans that is run by the clans that support it.”

I would argue that the top teams support ETF2L more than most, if they’re leaving ETF2L due to a stupid fallout over unlocks I’d say that’s a issue, we’ve already had several forum posts complaining and pressing valid points which are gaining backing from a large sector of the community

If ETF2L truly claim to be a league for the clans they will set a vote for players regarding unlocks, map pools, bans or any other issues raised by the community. It would be fairer, easier and would obviously solve any arguments or debates within ETF2L and stop filling my news feeds with shit storms.

I have not created this thread as an attack on ETF2L I am just pointing out that they claim to be all these things but in all my time here at ETF2L I don’t think I have seen one community vote. I have never seen ETF2L back down from a mistake even when the community are obviously against it.

I agree a lot about how we as participants know little about whats happening on the inside during these discussions. If we look at ESL or a news site in general they usually have a twitter account, and I know for a fact that ETF2L has a twitter account aswell. Why not use this resource and kinda put out some leaders to what you’re working on. A little “we’re discussing the weapon unlocks” is good enough.
