How about changing the map times?

I actually think it will promote the opposite. There will be more turtling as one mistake and you can’t come back, short games means people will play more defensive knowing that they can’t lose a round as they won’t have time to come back from it, it might make more risky plays if one team is a round down, but no more so than a 30 min game, the point just occurs sooner.

Could we get a cup with timelimit 20 and see how it goes? Play maps we know are fast (viaduct? :o), and some we know are “slow”, like freight, see how it works out.
Actually testing a timelimit > discussing it.

These 15/20 min rounds I’m talking about were filled with constant pushing and pulling back. I can’t help it div6 players can only push with uber.

Is it me or does this just sound completely insane? There is no logic in this…
Let’s reverse the statement, let’s say we make the timelimit 5 hours, obviously people would take more risks since they have plenty of time to make up for a mistake.

Saying a smaller timelimit promotes more risky play just shows how little you know about the game. Sure desperate situations create risky play and sometimes some awesome clutch moments that turn the game around. Forcing teams into that situation sooner is not a viable option and definitely not a cure of any kind.
30 minutes got us through 8 seasons.
30 minutes got us a lot of recent LAN interest.
30 minutes got us to dreamhack.

I’m all for less map time but I dont think that would work so good atm cause of the choke stalemates since there’s where most time is wasted.
