Pimp yourself out too.
Try and merc for other teams and see how they organise things.
Then steal all the good bits from everyones game :)
“The reason i ask is we have a few clan members that blow a fuse as soon as it happens bearing in mind that we have not won a clan match . I think its all down to attitude if you think you have lost before you have started then you will never win .
All i can say is if you want to be better who do you play ?”
Hm. Well, for us it’s hard to find an opponent we can actually beat. We don’t have anyone that explodes into a maniacal rage after a match loss, but it’s no fun either. The bad thing is that an opponent that’s way better than you are is that you’re unable to play your own game if you’re dead all the time. It got to the point that we had no clue what to do when he had to capture the last cap on granary, for example. But you have to start somewhere… and besides, if you’re at the bottom it’s hard to play against teams that are lower skilled ;) I think the 6th division gives us a chance to find similar teams to play against. A Good Thing(tm).
P.S. No quoting tech on this forum is fail!
@ shabbaman, you guys got a decent team in div3, got2 and 3 dudes might want to ask em for some tips :). get you started
We play with mixed team regularly, it’s great :) But that’s a luxury not every team has, I suppose.
The best way to improve is to set your own attitude right. For most players, div1 is an unrealistic goal (due to many things, such as real life or simply talent), but still most people seem to only care about getting to the level of the top teams.
Even if you do have enough time, talent and skills to improve to that level, it helps to “trick” your own mind into thinking that you will never reach that level. Both short term and long term goals are beneficial when used correctly, but when you’re not focusing completely on meeting your long term goal, you can take the learning curve as it really is: a constant grind.
Only playing the game can effectively make you better. You do not get better by winning or losing. You get to become better when you think about what you do and then adjust your game to that.
Compton the word your looking for is “Perfectionist”, you keep on trying to make urself better in a vicious cycle and there is no “until” as you always demeanour urself to get better aim better do better despite maybe already being the best in the game…
;) Think Xman knows about this one :P wonder who he knows who is a perfectionist :P
But yes valid point compton wp :)
Cheers
Byte
with compton totally!!
I had a good performance increase and demotivated after some time. Right after that I had myself focus on lower teams so I could regain that old motivation since I had a period where I played like a complete noob. The thing is everytime I try to excel at a higher level I end up loosing confidence, maybe because higher expectations or some other stuff, even if playing mid/mid+ some times my average started to go real low because I was never happy… (I blame random damage for that :> ).
Still I hope next season I get the experience needed to be a mid player in each of my classes.
But anyway every person is different and is usually is a matter of psychological training.
Some ppl play better under pressure some ppl completely suck. Honeslty I play better when I dont take anything seriously… everytime I say “Now lets be serious… ” I usually get killed =)
Sun Tzu’s book. Seek higher ground, focus fire, and look for an underlying goal at every point you’re trying to take.
lol, Sun Tzu advocates: ‘go for point A first on gravel pit’
ITS A PHILOSOPHY OF WAR BABY :P
short-on-topic-awnser incoming!
you guys seem to have enough players in your roster to easily run 2 teams!
lol don’t force your team to play pickups… it can improve to stand alone deathmatch practice but pickups are NOTHING like pcw… so the chance you will learn something at a pickup is close to nothing.
And constantly getting raped by better teams isn’t really the way to go either I think. I recon that you should play same skill or lower at first to build coördination skills and try to get your team to work as a team without worrying so much about getting raped.
Also tactics are good but if your not killing .. it doesnt mean shit. so killing skills are mandatory dont forget that.
offcourse after that you have some what of a team I would go with bytes advice. but I wouldnt do that untill I had a solid team to build on.
@ J3 … dont blame random damage for that that’s bs. if you would think like that not 1 of the top teams would stay top and a div6 team could win from a div 1 team… so the game is as random as you make it imo…
Making sure your 2 scouts stick like flies on shit is almost ruling out any lucky 1 scout passing by and 1 shotting you. Even in normal life shit is random… but you still make it what you want it to be.
Thanks for the responce some good points raised by people . I think the point i was trying to make is that if you dont work at something and just give up when the going gets tough you will never get there .
We do not have 6 regular players who want to play all the time maybe 4 but this is going to change (we hope)
We are a low skilled clan from what i have seen on pickups but you guys may know the standard of player you get on there bettter than us .
team caller and tactics is a very hard one to get right if you have never won a round in the league before but pickups seemed like a good starting point
Working together and wanting to change things in a positive way you stand a good chance of getting better. obviosly a lol skilled organised clan will never beat uber skilled players but you might beat a mid skilled clan.
@god I wasnt being serious with that, but I have an opinion that with tftrue many of scout fights would be alot more accurate in the end. anyway this is offtopic so lets not discuss it here.
