After a 2nd place in AFS div5 behind h.b0da, we decided to practice a lot to get into div4. We managed to do so and were hoping for a mid-table spot. After a decent start (where we may have gotten 2-3 points extra) real life started to absorb a lot of time from a few teammates, making it difficult to get pcws going. Then our main medic said he got bored of the class and our backup medic can’t play anymore due to a lack of time.
Against all my expectations, we still managed to grab at least the 3rd spot in our table, with (hopefully) an exciting conclusion this sunday, where the final 2 matches between the #1/#2 and the #2/#3 will decide who will take which spot in div4B

You guys absolutely deserve to go through. Well played.

Well, it’s been a rough season for us. We’ve changed our roster so many times this season that I’ve lost count. This has of course had an impact on our results and we are currently contending for the premier CantFitMyN-award. :P
Can’t say I’m too bothered though, we’ve had some awesome games against Fakkelbrigade, TCM and Gamerzone/Mister to name a few. Just wish those few caps woulda gone in our favor instead of the opposition :).
Once dajackal gets his internet sorted out, we should be running on a stable core of 6 players first time in months. We’ll see how it plays out. Atleast it will be easier to start working our way up. Folding is not an option :p
Cheers,
xzr
We’re going to end up 2nd (unless something reaaallly funny happens to Venzi and they don’t get their last 6 points, 5 points and it’s a tie) but at least we’re going top 2 in Div5i.
Pretty good considering none of us in the main lineup had previous league experience apart from our silly solly zoob, we started sometime during the summer while most teams we fought have played for at least twice as long. Didn’t come without its lineup issues tho, I had to switch scout partners twice, the middle scout went demo after our first one went semi-inactive. But all good, all good, we didn’t have a shortage of classes at least.
Next season’s lineup is gonna be amaaazing :]

Earned a spot in div 3 next season, having worked our way up from div 6.
Could have been better, we had a rough start, roster issues+lack of practice.
Excuses, excuses. We picked up a bit towards the end and have our final game on sunday that won’t affect anything.
Hopefully they’ll let me play gunslinger engineer or backburner pyro.
Good season, see you next time.

All thanks to Lothar Matthäus and Claudia Pechstein.

Respect for not folding like many other teams would :P

Also a pretty rough season here, with lineup issues from the very start… In the beginning, we had 3 soldiers with different ambitions, and 3 scouts that had never really played together before, plus a new demoman who was not giving us what we expected.
We tried to sort all that out, 2 people left and we made some changes, got a new demo we can rely on, and put together a new combination of scouts, which helped us at least to get a stable lineup of 6 people. Then we tried to compete with that mixture in the ongoing Div3.
All in all, even if you look at the mostly red results on our teampage: We didn´t do too bad, we lost some maps really unlucky with one stupid mistake and had some close matches against proven and well-rehearsed Div3-Teams, but also some good experiences and well deserved wins in PCWs, just by playing more together and getting used to each other.
The really good part is, we didn´t fold and never thought about it either. We knew it would be tough, we went through that and now feel that we´re at a point where we can really call ourselves a team. There´s still a lot room for improvement, and I personally hope we continue to try hard and give our best – in the last two officials tomorrow as well as after the season and in the preperation for Season 9, where we hopefully get seeded in Div3 again and will be able to put up a better fight than this season.
