Felt uncomfortable when playing w/ it as medic (dunno if it were still that way NOW), but love it on IG servers tbh.
alias noweap “cl_bobcycle 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999”
alias weap “cl_bobcycle 0.8”
bind 1 “slot1; noweap”
bind 2 “slot2; noweap”
bind 3 “slot3; weap”
just an example, but thats how it works.
thx for the reply jh. tho i cant get it to work :( guess im prob doin something wrong. i copied and paste wat u put down into my cfg bt no luck. also i think ur bindin the changes to pressing the number keys. which i guess i can learn to cope with. bt is there any way of makin it change when i scroll down using my mouse scroll thing cos thts wat i currently use to change weapon

Pure cosmetic change, should in no way be illegal to use as far as I’m concerned (and I don’t even use it).
The game is hardly customizeable anyway; having to play with a crosshair the size of a football is bad enough..
bigDE you could probably bind it to a certain (unused) key and toggle it whenever you need it, couldn’t get it to work either when I just tested doing it with aliases.

bobcycle isnt a script, its simply a simple cvar
therefore you cant ban it under any nonesense script rule whatsoever
bobcycle (or sth accordingly) is being used in EVERY SINGLE 3D Shooter ever known to man and im quite sure alot of quake3 players used to play without weapon.
the fact is, you can see more than ppl with default settings but only due to the fact that they have a weapon blocking their screen and you dont.
some people can play without a weapon, some cant. Personally i cant play without a weapon cause it just feels pretty weird in TF2.
if players wanna play without weapon, let them play without weapon. you cant forbid people from using 16:10 screens over 4:3 screens, just because they can see more than ppl with old 4:3 screens. lol

Now, if you use the numbers to select weapons at times as well as the scroll wheel, it’ll need changing a little, because it’s not changing which scrollup or scrolldown is set to. But for the guy who mentioned that he only uses the mousewheel, it should be fine.

B2T, i think it’s not “unfair”, everyone can do it “legally”, and everyone can do it, until valve fixes it. Also, anyone able of proving it, is it in the ineye demos?
