I am also medic and i am also interested in playing a pickup or 2.
I accidentaly rolled into a div 5 team, with only 3 months of tf2 experience.
So i got much to learn, so any pickup next to regular training with my team is welcome.

Get some friends in higher divs, report your progress in a weekly thread on the forums, and you’ll be div3 within a month ;)
Not really…
Arcy played high CSS and COD4 for years before ever touching TF2, its REALLY not the same thing.

Sure it is, but he still got div 3 in a month, if that, regardless of his gamesense.

maybe because previous fps experience at a high level can help in other games, get a clue and stop getting mad that your div6 and youve played longer than him

srsly guys stop derailing this thread, once that little switch in your brain clicks and you suddenly understand when to fall back and push and how to flank in any game it really helps in general.

That is quite honestly, the most insightful, engaging and correct post I have ever read of yours on these forums, wp sir, well played.

Considering how rare common sense is these days, stating the obvious actually makes you look smart a lot! :P
@OP, you can add me on Steam if you want so you can play the occasional game with my team. We’re div6, but have been playing just long enough that we’d be able to give sensible feedback without you feeling useless or anything like you’d feel when mixing with a higher team.
I can also recommend #pixeltf2.open and if you ask skyride nicely #pixeltf2.pickup .
Most people are very friendly and willing to give you some directions.
