I’d also like to hear a _GOOD_ reason as to why the gunboats are allowed.. Everything is a counter to gunboats – scouts, fan, natascha, demoman, soldiers, tdh..

For a more serious answer, gunboats speed up game play, make it more fun to watch, and the counter is good dm skills.

Unlike natacha/fan which take away control from the player.

Oh, and another thing, once that solly has shot off 4 rockets, he is fucked, i literally cannot tell you how easy it would be to kill a solly as a scout that has no shotty.

E.g.

Imagine its badlands mid, a leet scout (Me) has managed to run up your slope through your house and behind you to choke, your other solly is dead, you have fired off 3 rockets on your retreat out, suddenly i have come up to choke 2 shot your medic (because im leet) you fire your 1 rocket (for arguments sake it hits me for 100) Now, im like “OH SHIT HIS SHOTTY IM DEAD” but no he is stuck reloading, 2 more meatshots solly is dead and i have more frag movie material.

A big risk tbh.
