I don’t know or really care if natasha is OP or not. It seems to me, though, that no matter what way you look at it, it makes the game less fun to play and watch.

I really don’t see how Natasha is OP. If the other team drops a scout for a heavy, you have a massive speed and flanking advantage. If they drop a heavy class for a Natasha Heavy. Just put up a normal heavy, slowdown doesn’t affect him and the other dude’s fucked. I don’t get the point of this thread. I know I speak for other members of my team when I say that we all signed up for an evolving game, if you don’t want that, there’s Q3CPMA, CS:S and COD4:Promod. Team Fortress 2 is not going to stop bringing new things in until it’s dead. Imo, if the competitive community doesn’t move with this evolution (I’m not saying fully, but in part) I can easily see the whole comp side breaking down and being solely a way of making money. On a side note, the sandman and wrangler are currently 2 weapons without counter, short of a spy on every last push and a pyro with good reflecting skill covering 2 players each…
tl;dr: Team fortress is an evolving game – shouldn’t the competitive community adapt to and embrace the updates for what they are, an extension of depth to what would be a shallow game with vanilla?
Maybe in div4
Natasha is retarded, it destroys rocket jumping for one, put a natasha heavy on the balcony on badlands against an attacking team, the slow down means that they wont be able to RJ upto spire, same applies to most maps, the team would then have to sit and wait for uber, and even then the natasha heavy can just hang back and wait for it to go, come out from balc, and do the same again.
It’s the fact that no matter how far away the heavy is, it does the same slowdown rate, it needs a short drop off point to make it less effective in many areas.
There just needs to be a lot more testing on the weapons, nobody wants to have to change 10000 classes in a game to counter whatever retarded weapon the other team is using.
The disadvantage for TF2 is that you have to recruit specific people for specific classes, and it’s going to be hard to find people that can just easily switch to spy, pyro, engie, heavy, scout and sniper each time.
TF2 kinda needs fixed classes to have any hope in bringing people in, so people can actually play. Most new players just play scout because it’s piss easy, just point and click.
Also with gunboats, how many people would want to play medic if they’re just going to get bomb rushed as soon as they come out from house or w/e?

:DDDDDDDDD
Having lost a middle on granary and with half my team going to 2nd to force uber, failing and dying, I promptly whipped out my natasha and pretty much solodefended last with heals standing on the lower pipe against an uber. Totally balanced.
ps. you dont need counters before you’re at the very top, before that you can just make a lot of shit and 1a to victory.
