Hello everybody, here is the announcement for the Gamers Assembly 2017.

Starts on Saturday, 15th and ends on Sunday, 16th April 2017.

WHAT ?

The Gamers Assembly is an event that sees thousands of players gather in the city of Poitiers to play in a multitude of games. The event has also been a hotspot for the French TF2 community since 2010, showcasing the best that France has to offer

HOW MANY TEAMS ?

There are 8 slots for the TF2 tournament.
At the moment, there are 4 paid teams and some others teams.

– nerdRage : Ombrack, Médico, Neo, Corbac, Namtac, blade
– Denis Gaming : Glastry, Enjoyed, Amarok, Karnax, Olgha, Kinty
– Tactique de soufflerie : Zesty, Funs, Chris_, Papi, Honey, Nuze
– Brocante golfique de Limoges : Raf, Daul, Elacour, Dream, AlienSmiley, Clem

TF2 TOURNAMENT

Tje format will be determined with all players on saturday.

You can see below the cashprize for the GA TF2 tournament :

First place : 1 200€
Second place : 600€
Third place : 300€

HOW MUCH ?

300€ per team (https://www.gamers-assembly.net/ticket)
One player of your team will collect and transfer the signup fee from all 6 players.

To sign up your team you only need to create your owner account with all personal information.

REQUIREMENTS

There is no minimum requirement in terms of skill-level.

You can either bring your own PC/Laptop as well as peripherals and LAN cables or rent one at the venue.

Futurolan (organizer of the LAN) is providing us 13 PCs with 144hz monitors for 100€ (per PC and monitor package).
=> Very important, we have to know how many rentals are needed in order to give some insight to Futurolan. If some PCs aren’t rented, Futurolan will reallocate them to other games.

– Zero Delay

Others PCs information

– French OS (Windows 10) : We can help you to find the mouse acceleration
– Steam, TF2 & Mumble will be installed by us before the tournament.
– You have to bring your TF2 config.

Payment information

– Unique price : 100€ for the package PC + monitor
– Rental process : Bank transfer to Futurolan > You receive an invoice > During the event, you give your identity card as guarantee > The LAN provides you the PC + the monitor > At the end of the event, you return the PC + the monitor > Futurolan gives you back your ID card.

PARTNERSHIP

teamfortress.tv will be at Poitiers to cover this LAN.

Veteran casters TurboTabs and zeFrosty will be making their way to France, along side rookie casters HiipFire and Nuze. Rounding out our lineup is ondkaja manning the observer camera, and dashner handling production.

WHERE I DO SLEEP ?

There are multiples choices for you :

– The cheaper : You can take a ticket to sleep in a public gymnasium 20€ for all week-end

– Hôtel : Unless mistaken, all nearest hôtel are full. I call every week to know if there is an empty place. Seems very hard at 2 weeks before the LAN.

HOW DO I GET THERE ?

Adress : 11 Rue Salvador Allende, 86000 Poitiers
There is a train station (Gare de Poitiers).
I advise you to discuss with foreigners and TFTV.
