The on-site hotel is happy to allow loads of room sharing (ie. bring an airbed, split price between 4). Multiplay have block booked it for cheaper/flat rates as it is, but the downside being that there aren’t many rooms.
The Q&A was earlier, not sure/doubt this was entirely addressed. Will have to check into the options.

I’m not fussed about paying hotel prices but the lack of rooms is a concern.
No way am I camping…been there and done that.
All my clanmates are male so sharing a room isn’t really an option for me. I don’t drive either so any hotel needs to be within walking distance (about 15 mins max especially considering I might be going home on my own late unless others are walking that way).

I presume from this that you’re a girl (otherwise why would you mind sharing a room with guys?) If so you’ll find plenty of girls at LAN from tf2 specifically who might be willing to split the cost of a room, I know two of the girls from our group last august did this, they split a room together when they barely knew each other before LAN just to keep costs down and cos it’s easier to share with a girl you barely know than a guy you barely know! Also, about the walking/driving I imagine there will be a bus or a lot of taxis going back and forth from local hotels, so you can always jump in one of those with someone, I tend to grab a taxi with whoever is nearby or if I recognise them slightly when I get one from the uni accom normally :d the community around tf2 and multiplay in general are really nice, don’t be afraid to be a little cheeky and ask to share!
Not sure I like the idea of a 4 person room nymthae, I kinda liked having my own room and shower, I guess we’ll find out more at sting LAN and see what happens!
Overall though I think this is an excellent move, the new venue looks amazing and I can only imagine that as LAN grows the venue will allow it way more space to grow into, plus all dat parking!

Yeah, I hear you. There are apparently quite a few hotels around, according to my friend who lives around there. Distances and availability need looking at though, but i’ll try and gather everything together soon.
