I enjoyed watching the Dr Justice fragvid for the 3rd time running, that was great.

Not that it affected the final which was difficult to watch in itself, the game and casting was good though.

I think saying it was “shit” is a bit strong. It was a pretty decent final, it just wasn’t as good as i39 or i40, but that’s only because they were so insanely good. i39 and i40 are probably 2 of the best finals for any game ever at i-series (I know a few people who considered the i39/40 finals to be their final tipping point to make the jump to TF2). The technical issues were annoying, but aside from Sonix’s PC problems (which I was sitting about 20ft behind facepalm-ing at), it was really just a minor annoyance.

Overall, there was still the usual banter, shits and giggles, socialising, mixing and drinking that makes i-series so brilliant, so honestly, I don’t think anyone is going from it dissapointed (except Tt). :)

I know that COD4 had issues with the casting/PA system being too loud and they had to change it (maybe thats why it seemed quiet) and noone can blame the crowd but the crowd themselves for being derps. It’s the game you (supposedly) love, make some fucking noise.

if you werent there, you cant comment pretty much. i had more fun watching saartje failing at the first level of super meat boy than the final.

and i hope people don’t take this as a slight against infused or tt, or even pledge and the rest of the tf2tv, it just wasnt an enjoyable final for the reasons that have already been stated above ^^

Anyways…

The tf2 final was disappointing, being here and watching it I can tell that the game itself wasn’t the big deal, it was a close and intense match but the main casters were just not able bring that over, to get the crowd going and make them enthusiastic about the game.

There were mainly tf2 pplz in the crowd and they couldn’t even get them excited … lolz. Some pplz were nearly falling asleep or just leaving after a couple of mins xD

It was nothing compared to i40 where Byte and Dave got even pplz from other games like cod, css etc. to come over and watch the match. Purely because they did know how to make some noise and the quality of the cast.

Even at i41 where aspec and jim casted we had about the same amount of pplz sitting in the audience, which is quite fail coz it was a waaayyy smaller event but again aspec having THE voice and knowing how to make some noise got everyone excited to watch. Okok it wasn’t the best cast quality wise just because of the lack of knowledge about the game but none really cared.

So what do we learn from all this?

If you want the best for the community and the best to promote the game let someone cast that has the experience, THE voice and the knowledge about the game!!

We all know there is only one person who has all of these qualities at the moment!!

Ps. I liked Oggy tho, was a good thing to bring him in, would have loved to hear him sing…I m pretty sure that would have made the crowd going.
