At close range, yes, chances are it’ll do quite a bit of damage regardless. At medium range this will make a significant difference to the level of consistency attainable, i.e. increasing the effectiveness of a scout’s skill ceiling by no longer putting the limits on the randomness of the spread.
I have the same opinion as yours on this. I told that because some people think that with no random spread the scout is op :)

This. At medium and longer ranges the new fixed spread might do just a bit more than nonfixed average, but not much.
The hit sound needs to be changed =)

Like zerker said, it’s all about the consistency, it’s a significant buff you can’t deny that.

Yeah, with random spread you sometimes get huge damages from mid range, giving you an easy kill (especially with the damage text).
It feel so nice to have a scatter gun in your FACE….Nooot…I hope they fix that soon…

i still think its not good for it to be like that, because i dont know.. what kind of shotgun shoots a 3×3 square bullet meters (:])? if you ask me its kinda stupid..
but i didn’t check it yet just got feedbacks from friends..

FaN now seems to fire the same amount of pellets as the scattergun, doing 103 damage for a meatshot, compared to scatter’s 104 damage.
Could’ve sworn it did 110 before the update.

Pretty sure it did, yeah.
Also what’s up with Stickies? Earlier someone mentioned their damage and radius was odd, but didn’t specificy.

Also a nice “buff” for sollies (they have shotguns you know.)

What kind of a shotgun shoots the pellets completely randomly all over the place?
well it doesn’t shoot them str8 does it?
maybe reduce the random radios could be better, cuz what i saw at the video commented bellow i can meatshot from about a med range whitch looks pretty… OP?
