Quad airshots are soooo last update! Get ready for 6x (I have no idea how its called) AIRSHOTS or even more!
I’m wondering if the shield will help people close to the demo man too….. Pocket demo anyone?
overhealed demoman with Targe and Eyelander running at the combo…+65% blast damage resistance…so that’s like 6 rockets? at fighting range?

Assuming the resistance goes for all explosive damage, the damage of a rocket on a targe demo would be 39 damage pointblank (less then the selfdamage :p) and mid-long range would be 17 damage (maximum falloff).
This would mean that it would take 5 hits to kill an demo with full health and 7 with overheal. (Not counting the health decrease of the sword, but assuming the sword wont take more then 50 health it should take a maximum of 1 rocket less.)
It will take 4 rockets of both soldiers and another reloaded one to kill a demo that is being healed.
So I’d say you switch to the shotgun :D

The demo also gets health and speed boosts with decapitations, so boost + overheal = tank?

40 damage point blank (self-dmg is 85/86)
around 25 damage “fighting” range
Edit: would be the first class whereby a soldier would kill himself over the enemy at point blank range if he engaged with the rocket launcher (ie,. if the enemy didnt even fire back)

Lots of fun killing Nooby McNoobington pubsollies then :) Just run up to them and let them do the job.
Either way, I’m pretty excited about how useful this could be.

Yeah, and 1 rocket at his feet to make him fly. 2 shots in the air with shotty. Byebye. Or he charges in and you RJ away + medic strafes away. Scouts clean up. gg demo.

Will be fun in public probably, will suck in comp :P
Looks interesting, I’m just wondering if you are able to jump while charging. That could be pretty cool. You might be able to pull of pyro style rocket jumps on the enemy with a large damage reduction, then go in for a melee. Could be more useful than people think, but I very much doubt it will see much action in competitive play… but who knows!
