I’m pretty sure there’s still been no word on why the new VAC ban policy has been put in place though. Transparency is a good way to avoid massive threads full of ill-informed or confused opinions hating on decisions.

For people who still don’t get it (almost everybody in this thread):
1) Joske is not yet banned
2) Joske punishment has to do with the new ban policy, and nothing else http://etf2l.org/2009/10/25/anti-cheat-section-bans-more/ He’ll receive the same punishment as anyone else, why would he be an exception?

No its not, it just means people know what they are whining about… They will still whine no matter what.
The trolls will, but most of these people complaining have genuine issues that could have been cleared up before they were made.

Why waste time let the league admins handle it or apply to be an admin, end of tbh ;x
Its not a democrasy, no matter if anyone wants it to or not… Its run by admins and its their decisions (unless i missed something big, if so show us videos of how you catch cheaters and show us the bank receets of every penny ETF2L has touched and give us every piece of documentation you have so we can all troll it).
Let them do their thing or apply to help.

The complaints are made to fix the issues to make the league better, why would you NOT want improvements in things you see done wrongly? There would be no complaints if most of the admins didn’t base half the decisions on whether or not they were on their period. Also why the fuck are you sucking up the admins arses like they have any legitimate reasons to this new rule and why apply to help when just posting a thread with a complaint/suggestion for an admin with half a brain to see and a change will happen?
I think that alot of the reasons why the admins haven’t replied here yet is because they simply don’t want to start a massive flame war against the banning of Josh. Sadly, on a public forum like this, it would be really really pointless to even attempt to discuss such an issue with an admin.
My opinion is currently unchanged, and having heard stories of admins such as AnAkin holding really really high grudges on particular players, Heliana, and possibly members of my clan, I’m really shocked he’s in a position of power. Saying that, myself and RaWr completely salute him for catching particular cheaters that have been banned, and continue to support the anti-cheat admins, who are doing an amazing job, really.
Maybe something has got out of hand in this particular instance, but, if you’re interested, and totally unrelated I may add, I heard that AnAkin got kicked from a demo spot with Heliana (Who is now banned, twice) and Arx was that replacement. Is this possibly misplaced rage?
I also heard a story of AnAkin, which is more of a judge of the character he is, tracking down Heliana in his AioN guild, and trying to get him kicked from that guild, telling his guild members that he has cheated in TF2. Now, whatever you take away from that, I feel that hearing these stories is it possible AnAkin is holding a grudge?
Please read this impartially though, as I have no idea whether AnAkin even has a say in what is done with Josh! I really wanted to let the admins know this sort of “possible grudge” that might be happening. I honestly hope that he is not involved, because he sounds like a really nasty piece of work, or someone who takes things really too far. I would like to note that is just my opinion on hearing these stories, whether they are true or not.
Anyway, my point was, after this total blabbering post is:
Surely the ETF2L League can learn from it’s mistakes (Do not take this the wrong way) of whatis my opinion of too harshly inforced regimented rules that lack the use of common sense, compassion, and giving someone the benefit of the doubt that they have changed?
After all, if he puts one foot wrong in Season 7, you will have the right to ban him for pretty much anything.

just read the news,
if a player, doesnt matter who (you will be surprised which are a cheater according to VALVe)
can not show the AC team with all his old or new steam accounts in the next 1 1/2 weeks –
that the vac banned is only HL1, they will be banned for 2yr in ETF2L
Why?
because they cheated in an HL2 game
Oh he says, it was only CS:S.
He cheated, can he be trusted? Why should he not lying.
He used cheats for a Source Game, which are similar, so
the cheat could be working on CS:S, TF2 and other HL2 games.

What quickman said, iirc most hacks made for a source game works on the other source games too, so needless to say it is possible that they hacked for TF2 aswell as CSS.
But also the vac bans are worked out as the following:
Cheat in cs1.6, vac banned from all secure servers that run on the hl1 engine.
cheat in css, vac banned from all secure servers that run on the source engine.
simply because the hacks could run on all the games.

And if some dont care if their team mate has an old account where he used cheats for HL2 games, I hope the majority of the TF2 community does care,
and dont want to let them get away without consequences

wow is this STILL going on? unban josh, let him play. if you don’t it will only provoke him to create another new account etc etc.
