hmmm do i have to exec the cfg?
dunno soooooo many files :xstill got my standard thingie running
You can get the SourcePackage and only pick what you need.
But yes if you want to use it you have to execute it ;)
The Basic which has to be used for the PublicMenu is:
autoexec.cfg -> Quantum.cfg/Mainconfig.cfg -> Quantum.cfg/HelperCfg/QLC-Alias.cfg
This covers the Favorite Server and to show/hide the Console and so on…
For Competitive Menu you NEED additionally to specify the rcon_password somewhere.
the menu uses rcon-commands, otherwise BANNED from Server. ^^
Its covered in the Custom cfg in Quantum.cfg.

My game crashes after I start to shoot a shotgun on the model. Any ideas? I play at UltraHighFPS.
i used the v1 till now with the optimization for 2gb of ram.
I installed v2 and tried to put the string and changing the other things for 4gb of ram but the result is a massive fps drop during firefights even in 6v6 and sometimes even in 1on1!
went back to v1 and everything is fine again

Hm it seems you did something terrible wrong ^_^. The FPS-Config don’t differ much from v1 to v2. So something seems to be messed up.

My guess you just installed but didn’t configure the MainConfig ;)

ye i noticed its all basically the same except some “uknown” commands in v1 were simply removed in v2.
In fact, i dont think its about the config itself at all.
what i changed was just the launch options from
-heapsize 1048576 (works alright) to
-heapsize 2097152
and using the different numbers in “Cache” accordingly
..other commands are the same
I didnt try with -heapsize 1572864 tho but dont see the point
I am running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, btw

Have you configured the Mainconfig.cfg ? In v2.0 you have to activate the settings like highfps :)
ok I think a managed to get the whole thing working.
great cfg mainly for all the server options to load cfgs and maps simply with a click
You could make a cfg for the ones who have a good pc but not so good to use highquality cfg.
Explanation: with your highfps cfg i get 100-300 fps during a game even in 32 players servers. No choke, no loss = great. HighQuality cfg is a dream but is not so good as comepetitive cfg (low fps).
Using highfps cfg, the gfx settings make tf2 ugly and my gfx card pretty useless.
So i was wondering…. you could make a cfg mixing good fps with better gfx settings (not everything on low and better texture quality) than highfps cfg. So the game looks good, balanced with good fps (60-100)
I love your net & ram settings and you have a great knowledge of tf2 vars so this could be an idea.
I hope you understand what i mean ^^

wow, works really great quantum your awesome :)
1 thing I got when launching TF2, the console pops-up with:
Unknown command “QLC_RAM_3072”
and
— Missing Vgui material vgui/..vguiicon_con_high
— Missing Vgui material vgui/../vgui/icon_con_high.vmt
I uncommented the QLC_RAM_3072 in mainconfig.cfg under Cache settings
should be allright ?
again, really great fps increase :D
