goto tick crashing tf2 at 640*480

any ideas on what the problem is it works fine at 1680*1050

Got the same pb here, but in 1680*1050, cant go to a specific tick, have to use fast fwd….

It’s a known issue, you can’t skip too far ahead with the tick command. You can however use it in shorter “bursts”. I usually go 20000 at a time.

Try to disable a multicore rendering when playing demo.

yeah multicore has always given huge issues with demo playback though i dont know the specifics

things you cant do include: skipping ticks, pausing and then resuming, anything that actually makes demo watching tolerable.
