Koeitje, stop talking nonsense, i’ll slap you over the head. Seriously.
The health regen is an absolutely retarded way of changing the needleguns usefulness. Tell me, how often does a medic really need to get his gun out and needle things? This only being in tiny situations during a game unless your team is absolutely retarded. No medic runs around needling the enemy team all the time. But when your needles are of use, the lack of +3 and no actual knowing of how much youre hitting makes you a much easier target. You’re losing health when it really counts.
Now, the needlegun pretty much gives you health constantly, it’ll save you so many trips going back for healthpacks, keeps you from having to risk your life getting out of current situations just for health aswell as makes taking small amounts of spam less of an issue. The switch for something that may keep you alive and on good health during the entire game for something that’ll give you a slight health boost if a scout jumps on you isn’t a fair trade, therefore the blut not being a wise choice for what weapon to have equipped.
Are you that fucking stupid that I have to explain every last detail in every post? yes it does but not at the same rate
stop being such an arrogant little sh*t
god man guys only asking a Question take your head out your arse

go fuck yourself

Tell me, how often will a medic survive a 2shotting scout because of the needleguns regen effect?
I mean, the regen is nice and all, you regen a couple of seconds faster, but it’s not like it is going to add that much more survivability.
* post editted for clarification :p
Dont u regen 4 hp per sec with the blut if u havent been damaged for 10 seconds?

Often enough even div1 scouts get the trembles when they try to gank the medeic because they are scared of getting hit by the blut, and negating the damage they are doing. And thus they dont meatshot 8)
I actually didnt remember that blut also has a faster self heal (1-4 instead of 1-3). Might be actually sticking with the blut, as i do like to needle some shizzle from time to time.

When I posted that I was talking about the needlegun :D
Now that I read it back I see it wasnt that clear, lol
My point was that the needleguns regen effect is not going to really save the medic from getting ganked. And as you explained, the blutsauger will actually save the medic sometimes.
I think it’s pretty clear now what the different weapons’ purposes are:
SG: Out-of-Combat recovery
BS: In-Combat Survival
Imo its a pretty fair trade and the BS is now no longer an upgrade but an alternative.
Again i ask the question. How often is a medic in combat? And how is that a fair trade considering how little a medic actually needs to battlemedic?
And if a scout twoshots you, a blut isnt going to save you, so try again man. Only thing the blut can do is scare a scout off if running away as you’ll be getting more hp than hes taking.
And if a scout twoshots you, a blut isnt going to save you,
The needlegun is not going to save you either, so explain how the needlegun adds the extreme amount of survivability? Because if it doesn’t, why wouldnt you use the blut?
All the needlegun does is saving you 5-10 seconds / negating a small amount of spam.
I dunno what scouts you’ve been playing against, but that makes no sense. A twoshot is a twoshot, you wont even have time to shoot a single needle at them by the time your dead.

But it’s possible to make hearts with needles from either gun
:D <3 fragga
Not complaining, i like the buff. Simply saying its a retarded way of making the needlegun better for 6v6 play, could have done it differently.

To respond to illii’s completely unfounded complaints. Prior to this update, the syringegun was useless in comparison with the blutsauger, now the gap has closed with favor to the syringegun instead of blutsauger, and it doesn’t really matter. Medics has more options to choose from, whether syringegun is overall better or not that shouldn’t matter as much, as medics were fine with blutsauger being the first choice for quite a long period of time.
So more or less, you can play medic like you always have or you can have a higher passive regen at the cost of throwing syringes at a corner while backing off and gaining a negligible amount of hp from that.
A discussion on this, and whether the change is good or not, is fairly pointless, as medic gaining more survivability tools is just a good thing.
