can someone tell me what was wrong in medic class before this update? why the hell they altered those regene speeds etc? worst update ever.
I heard that during the TF2 beta valve were trying to make the original medic weapons feasible – just now every single medic runs Ubersaw, blut and both mediguns. I guess they are trying to get people to use reg needle gun. Wait and see what happens to the regular bone saw.

The point is that any medic who had sense before would use the Blutsaugher over the Syringe Gun. Now though, you get an increased regen rate with the Syringe Gun equipped (Blut remains exactly the same, but with crits – no effect on comp play), which attempts to make the decision harder to make between choosing the Blut over the Syringe Gun.
i.e. the medic changes are to facilitate the Syringe Gun buff
When are they gonna make something like E to call medic only then another bind to call your other scout?

I think I’m gonna start using the old needlegun. Tried it yesterday and even though there was a couple of times i missed the blut’s leeching, the improved healing rate is just so nice. I hate going back to medpacks.

Even though i love the new regen rate, i don’t get how ruining the blut is the way to go when trying to make other weapons more desirable for competetive play. The blut is pretty much nerfed compared to the needlegun now (even though they havent technically changed it), which will only make it an easier choice to make, but not in the bluts direction. Running a blut in comparison to the regen isn’t worth it, as you’ll spend more time needing health than you will needling things, while the medic on the other team happily skips “going back for healthpacks”. Then again, needling with the freaking needlegun is horrible *slashes wrists*
Personally I think they should have left the regen alone and just had:
Blut: +4 hp on hit
Needle: +2 hp +2 uber on hit
Or something like that
Impressive support from the TF2 guys at Valve. Hats off. I wonder if I could send them a basket of heinekens…

Yea it was just a quick example, the point I’m trying to get across is they should have given the needlegun a direct buff instead of nerfing the blut by screwing with regen rates
They didnt nerf the Blutsauger in comparison to pre-update – they only buffed the Syringe Gun.
In fact, no matter which weapon you choose, each one is better now than before.

Blut hasn’t be nerfed. First it was 1-3h/s, not it’s 3-6h/s. With -2h/s that would make 1-4h/s with blut. Zomg blut buff.
