Sorry to spoil it, but: How does adding someone now help anyone with having played in div 3 in season 5/6? (Besides the fact that the admins probably won’t be THAT clueless.)

Looks good,
The pickups have always been important for competitive tf2 and I like the effort to increase activity again. You could argue that the current div4 is skilled enough to be considered, but lets see how this works out.

Well it was fun while it lasted. I really enjoyed playing pu2 with some interesting people there – thanks a lot for that. Some of us will now just have to stick to whatever pu1 has to offer these days.
Atleast our-team medic will have a chance to get an invite :P
I, probably among many other, can’t be arsed playing with ventrilo. Having to set it up is just a pain, and having used voice activation for months now I can’t be bothered to get used to ptt again, since I’m yet to find a toggle mute key or proper setup for voice activation in general for ventrilo. The overlay is also great for when you play with people you don’t recognize from their voices. Also, the thing that I was annoyed the most about p2 lately was the fact that half the players couldn’t/wouldn’t comm in english, rather than them being bad.

If the div3/2/1 system will go, please thighten the rules in pu1.
Imo just perm-ban anyone with 3 or more warnings, or atleast ban them for a couple of weeks/months. The rules are simple, if u can´t obey them just don´t play.
Or just make pu1 as pu2 used to be.

If you want to be invited to the channel you should NOT ask an admin to invite you – instead you should ask a player you know from the channel to request an invite for you.
“Hey, are you in pu2, can you requ…. oh you’re not, nvm” “hi, I wondered if you could request an invite for me in pu2… oh you’re not in there” “Hey, cou… oh you’re also not in there”
tl;dr: List of players that are in the channel please :)

Optimally it should go like this:
1. Person A gets invited to the channel
2. Person A knows a person B who would be a good addition to the channel so he requests an invite for B.
3. Then Person B will be invited (or the request will be rejected)
I’d like to agree with the system, but there’s just things that are plain wrong.
Isn’t there already some sort of other 1337 pickup channel, and you’re turning pickup 2 into a version of that?
Someone already stated good players that aren’t in good teams won’t enjoy the freedom they once had.
Season 5 & 6 only? what… there’s teams that are getting relegated & promoted outside of these seasons all the time, what are they to do?
If inactivity is the problem, why don’t you just shorten the leash and cleanup inactive people sooner. Odd system; and it’s going to affect a lot of people.
You say you’re going to do ANOTHER pickup channel to bridge the gap between the pickup 1 and 2; what’s the point.
Isn’t that what’s going to happen is 1.5 is just going to become what pickup2 currently is and you’re going to be faced with the inactivity problem again? It’s like a last resort for the higher up pickups to gain a room.
There should be certain criteria to allow people outside of div 1/2/3 to be able to get in, that way it isn’t so eliteist and gives some an oppertunity to play with better players.

Agree with this, don’t see how this will actually get more activity. Also i don’t like the fact that if your a medic you can get it, so pu2 will just use all the medics which are half decent and leave them to the div 1/2/3 players. What about the good div 4/5/6 players? Doesn’t seem like a very good system at all…..
