Ramown bought me a beer once. He didn’t specify that it was because I’m amazing at TF2, but it probably was.

Tiz a hobby, nothing more, over the 6.5 years in terms of direct cash somewhere in the region over £7-8K

– Pcgamer lan £3.3k
– Many i-series lan (i33, 34, 35 can’t remember all) basically before epsilon showed up
– Reality lan
– Assembly lan (not much tho)
– ESH cups
– XLO cups
– ESL (finally to which we got paid)
– EMS (finally to which we got paid)
– ETF2L (forever 3rd money)

If I was to include in-direct stuff, this includes:

– Sponsorship
– Having a mousemat endorsed by me :D (yes that’s right)
– TCM (<3 Xman and Walkah)
– Free peripherals and hardware I've received over the 6 + years and so on the total

Would come to about £10K+, not a valid income in the slightest compared to my rl job but it certainly helps :) For a game that is never to compete with the likes of Quake / CSS/CS:GO/ Dota/LoL shit etc is nice to have some cash generated from such a game.

Well that was 9months after it came out, so following trends of tournaments with prize monies is pretty standard not weird. Guess pcgamer wanted to make TF2 huge :P
