why would anybody ever consider paying to have people talk about their tf2 match? if you want to waste money, go give it to charity or something instead.

Yeah, we shouldn’t reward streamers/casters for the amount of effort they put in to provide us with free entertainment. What a waste that is.

I think they do it more for the enjoyment and excitement rather than money though :)

I think some people have got the wrong end of the stick here, this is not concerning me I am not an egotist looking for someone to cover the games I play, look at my history I don’t play much at all now adays and when I do I get face rolled!

But as a trialist highlander admin after season 4 has ended I am planning on organising and running lots of smaller highlander cups, one of the incentives to join would be having the final game cast and I do not want to make idle promises someone will cast it out of the goodness of their heart, the games will probably be between teams not of prem skill and more than likely a fair few matches which are just plain uneven, any caster is likely to stop casting after a few bad matches without some kind of incentive.

It would also make it possible to attract/pitch to a micro sponsor, some small company or business willing to sponsor these mini cups some silly amount of money, this money doesn’t just give a few unknown players a bit of cash it also provides the sponsor some small amount of advertisement in the guaranteed cast.

I just can’t see the harm in people offering to provide a service for a fee, who knows some brand new org may want to create some hype and get their team some coverage, if they asked a caster to cover all of their games for free they will get told to hop it, yet if they just looked you up hey we see you cover matches for £x.xx amount we would like to hire you.

It has been made clear that the big orgs wont cast low skill games, but if some other up and coming caster orgs/solo casters would just post some ball park figures of what they would work for I would be grateful.

If anyone needs Arx and Beta for an event or simply wants a VOD of them playing and being casted by some decent commentators, and wants to pay a small fee, then by all means come speak to us.
