The table clearly says “premiership”, it is full of teams, and the majority of it has “dropped” behind their name.
Being in prem doesn’t make you a top team, and none of the teams who dropped there did so because of the unlucks. Eternity (unexist) folded, idk? folded, monster munch couldn’t deal with BBashers applying the rules and dropped, Knights folded, Blame folded and BBashers was folded by Marco’s ragequit to brink as far as I’m aware.

I’d like to argue that if it’s not a table for top teams, it shouldn’t be called prem.
Regardless though, it’s the highest div in the league and that makes the teams in it the current “top teams”.
As for why they dropped; yeah I forgot about that. I yield!
I suppose that renders my entire point invalid :D

About that Season 9 boycott w/e.
My memory is terrible, so things might be off with names changes w/e, but comparing hall of fame ETF2L Season 9 http://etf2l.org/etf2l/archives/71/1/ with ESL Season 7 http://www.esl.eu/eu/tf2/6on6/league/season7/rankings/
Only Powergaming, FB and Redcode actually played and the rest then dropped in ESL anyways.
Looking at Season 10 http://etf2l.org/etf2l/archives/91/1/
We had Dignitas(Relic), Power Gaming (new dignitas) and epsilon return after ETF2l opted for a Vanillas ruleset and out of those only Epsilon is actually still playing the game.
Please point out major mistakes.
Not trying to achieve anything with this, but Yuki asked for background information and i tried my best, bet there are people who could give a lot more insight.
Slate is correct, people claiming the “top” teams ran off to their holy land of vanilla ESL seem to be forgetting that the “top” teams couldn’t be bothered dealing with Wire properly so most of them just didn’t play at all for a season, or folded and reformed, so even if they had a vanilla ruleset in etf2l whatsvto say they wouldn’t have done the same anyway?
Honestly i’m tired of pointing this out now but the unlocks we allow or don’t allow really don’t matter anymore because we play like pussies, we don’t play for the fun of playing the game anymore, we care too much about winning or losing the round and we play scared because of it.
Has anyone noticed how the Yanks rarely go through house on rollout anymore? It’s nothing to do with unlocks they just evolved their game to using valley as the default strat now, we’re still just having 3+ people walking out of the smallest door on mid and amplifying the demomans strength FOR him, so even less skilled demomen can get ez triple kills.
So maybe if we stopped whining about having or not having unlocks and started improving our fucking game we wouldn’t be a laughing stock of stalemates and uber fights.
Though i DO believe that each of the unlocks should.be looked at individually in terms of allowing or not allowing. Maybe a panel of noteworthy figures from prem-div6 should discuss it and listen to the communties thoughts in a HEAVILY moderated thread.
What we have here is the equivalent of a retard humping a rock.

If only that was what happened; instead, everyone DID sign up, and only then realised their candy was gone.

It never did; we.. I mean they.. have discussions where everyone chips in their opinion. Not one single person can shape the league single-handedly. Also if that one post renders me incapable of performing an admin role, it appears you are terribly misinformed as to what exactly it is that admins do.
Oh and just as a side note, I wasn’t saying I agreed or disagreed with the argument, just pointed out it was poorly supported by the link posted.
For the record, I am very much in favour of a vanilla ruleset. I didn’t agree with cinnamon either but it was a good step forward.
I think to a certain extent, as an admin, your opinion represents that of the admin panel at all times, and you should refrain from stating dangerous opinions, not because of how the etf2l admin team works, but because of how you are recieved and expected to act; the text in your posts will be quoted and used as a direct response from the admin panel by members unless explicitly stated in the post or otherwise, and while you have a stint as an admin, your opinion is exactly just for those #admin channel discussions, and after a consensus has been reached, the public reflection of every post you make should appear to mirror that of the decision reached by etf2l as a whole.
If none of what I said is the case, then I think the admins need to question the legitimacy of their code of conduct, as an organisation that openly allows dissent towards popular decisions, shoulder-shrugging (“I never wanted it anyway”) and confusion towards league members as an admin team is an abomination.
Thanks Bill.

thats exactly what we do now, but in the pyromania update thread.
so how about opening a official unlock thread? (ye again)
Fuck this unlock shit, I just had the best idea, get Valve to give us like 50 of those blowup unicorn things for i46.
All the other players will have no fucking clue what is happening.

Five teams remained just before the playoffs. K1ck beat redCode in a tiebreaker to win a spot in the playoffs.
K1ck then went on to beat TCM, Tt and PwRSG-1 in the greatest finale to a season I have yet to witness.

only mentioned those three Teams as ETF2L boycotters, K1ck and TCM played in ETF2L as well.
Why don’t admins just make an unlock vote for each division individually and see what different skill levels’ players actually want? To me it seems like a reasonable way to clear things out.
Jesus Fuck I actually have to agree with Enef for once, what is this world coming to?
I think we really need to go NA style on this shit, start being open minded, the angry vanilla Finns are gone, we are free.
FREEEEEEEEEEDOM
seriously though, admins should so something about this
for starters a vote weather you want unlocks or not in general, see what the majority wants.
