I dont really know whats the fuss about the privacy and what not, this kind of thing has been around since quakeworld, the server tells the client to take a screenshot and upload it to the server then server admin proceeds to check the screenshot :o

That would also let server admins who have a cheater on their team / are a cheater to completely bypass the whole situation, as long as they played all the games on their server. Sending it to anakin may not be the best solution either, maybe AC-team, idunno

If you’d kept it to yourself and the ETF2L AC admins, we could have had those hackers banned already and more coming in all the time. Now, we’ll possibly get these hackers banned if the ac admins aren’t butthurt about you not contacting them first, and we’ll now have nobody get caught by it any more as they’ll just modify their hacks to avoid screenshots.

Engage brain please Anakin, but thanks for what you’ve done so far.

If it were the police or Microsoft or someone you’re inclined to distrust rather than Anakin, the invasion of privacy would be obvious. I don’t mind server owners having my screenshots – apart from my hud they already knew everything on my screen. That’s my contract with them. I have no such contract with a random stranger on the internet.

Spike Himself, being an admin of server (or at least a person who have some kind of control on it), rejected to keep using this plugin after he knew about screenshots being silently taken and transferred to Anakin. But then agreed it would “perfect” to be the only person who receive them. Refrain from posting out of context.

ESL Wire does the same shit and takes the most fucking random screenshots, the diference is that you can turn it on only when you have an official, and if during an official youre talking to someone on skype or watching porn, well, then somethings wrong :p

As i said taking screenshots while youre gaming isnt a new thing it has been around for ages and for me its a pretty nice way to do it.
