Newbie Mix Group Christmas Cup

so we have 48 teams in this cup so far and signups are closing friday.

Yeah I’m getting involved with this, naturally. Hit any of us up to lend a hand/some brains to these poor unfortunate noobs.
Team captains required, you can even make your team do the, “SAH, YES SAH!”, thing if you like.
Edit: Just FYI this steam group has provided a good steady trickle of new blood into this scene for the last 140 days or so, so if you’d like to keep a fresh and vibrant community with a nice trickle of new players, join up and become an admin and host some mixes…EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!

We still need about 10 more Veterans for this Cup. If you have the time this would help the community, plus it will bea ton of fun.
i would love to as it looks a lot of fun, but (and i’m sure this is true for a lot of players that would otherwise be more than happy to help out) it would be unfair on my team to expect them to give me day(s) off. is it usually possible to convince the players to play on non-match days (fri, sat)?

as far as i understood this cup will run this sunday, and possibly extend to monday/tuesday

Well, we did it this week as the etf2l season has just finished and it’s Christmas time so we thought team games would have faded a little. Perhaps a way of overcoming this is getting your entire team involved?

Well, I feel that giving up a maximum of three days of PCW’s is worth it to help the community grow. The reason why we didn’t pick fri-sun is that as the people we are try to attract don’t play competitive TF2, they were more likely to be out on those days.
Three (at most) missed days of PCW’s is not asking a lot. We only need 5 more Veterans and we are good to go.

Three days (max), if you team is hell bent on this why got play all 7 days of week? Taking a break to help the community is a worth cause, no?
