MGE shutting down (watch free videos for 2 weeks only)

MGE has announced it is closing down.

As said in the title from later today you will be able to watch the premium videos for free though for the time being videos remain locked.
Personally I never thought there was enough content to justify a premium subscription for MGE, however you can’t doubt the contribution to the TF2 community MGE has been and the quality of the videos have been extremely high.
Shame – when MGE was just new, the videos were amazing. It also triggered people to get upset by how ridiculous it was to have to pay for this, which then resulted in others doing the same thing for free, so in that regard it has added lots to the community as well.
Oh well, it was good while it lasted :)

Not really surprising imo, but still a shame. Content on there was gold (also plox, someone get the videos on youtube; would be a total waste if it’s all lost)
Hope he throws everything on youtube/lets us download everything.
Mike is gonna be so upset.
Is it required to register to watch the premium content?
I don’t know, but if you’re wondering because it isn’t letting you see them when not logged in, it doesn’t let you see them when you are, either.
I helped set up the current video system. Just messaged CB saying we could probably get all the videos uploaded to youtube. See what he comes back with.

Definitely the best solution. They should have transitioned to F2P w/ ads on YouTube a while ago, really.
