In the badlands demo rollout, why do some demos put their stickies on the wall (which is what I do) but others put them on the floor? Is one way faster or something? Not even intending to be a troll here, honestly curious.

sometimes if you jump too far on the jump inside the spawn, it’s easier to put it on the floor

I think it’s just preference. I haven’t noticed it making much of a difference, but I’m not a demo main.

its just that sometimes you jump too much out of the spawn, ofcourse there is some demos wich preffer to put it on the floor. just personal stuff tbh

using the wall is more cool :D

dauk

you take less damage by putting it on the floor ( actually you should not take it at all), however putting it on wall makes your first jump faster, however putting on wall reduces your airstrafe due high speed and it sometimes ending in taking damage + loosing movement inertia due taking damage from falling.

Also going to wall takes more time than going forward and jumping from floor.

As dauk said jumping from the floor should mean no fall damage whereas from the wall it if much harder to avoid fall damage. That being said jumps from walls, sticky or rocket, are faster than from the floor. This was explained a bit in one of b4nnys mge clips on coldfront.

As has been said before if I jump too far I’ll do it from the floor, if I jump by the wall though I jump from that as its quicker and if done corectly you won’t take fall damange.

no idea which is faster

i find that i land more nicely for the stair jump if i put it on the floor, but i usually go for the wall because its easier

On the wall you go in a straight line and you move faster.
From the floor you travel in an arc and are more likely to succeed your roll out.
Taking damage shouldn’t be an issue if your med isn’t horrendous and you don’t decide to walk straight onto the point?

I assumed you were talking about the wall on the exit hole of the 2nd resup, guess not. Either way stickies on the wall is all about the angle you want to travel and speed.

Putting it on the wall makes you go faster.

Wall is faster and easier
Also less of a chance of hitting the ventilation shaft at badlands spawn.

I think it depends on where you land after doing the first jump in spawn. If I land too close to the wall I either do another backwards jump while still in freezetime or put it on the ground. But if Im not too close to the wall then I put a sticky there.

It’s essentially personal preference
