The only reason I’m using Blut in that video is because the tactic we were doing demanded it. Otherwise I would use the needles since I feel the Blut just restricts me as Medic so much and makes me do stupid stuff a lot more with the excuse that I’m trying to heal myself.
Good thing I play Soldier now. :>

Correct. It’s not anything against the guy, but he was the only medic in prem/div1 who used blutsauger. If TCM had some system where it works, cool, but its not like they were rofl-stomping every other prem team.
Man, I have flipflopped on this one quite a bit.
Despite the massive passive benefits of the Needlegun I think Blut really is a game changer if you are hitting a good percentage of your needles.
If you have a tight pocket something like Exfane/Mirelin Needles are probably best…
but if you find yourself defenseless more often than not don’t be afraid to switch it up to Blut.

Needle gun is just better in almost every situation. The +3 health per needle hit just doesn’t even come close to making up for the +2 regen in almost every situation.
Some maps are better for blut use than others based on where the medkits are located. badlands is terrible, granary is better, Fastlane has so many medkits that there’s almost no reason not to use the blut, since you can just strafe and chances are you’ll run over a medkit
Overall, just use the needle-gun and focus on healing people

It’s pretty clear that most people prefer the normal needle because of the +2 regen passive ability as compared to the on-hit +3HP…and mostly because if you get outflanked, you’re pretty much dead anyway.

Pretty close shaves, I guess that shows the benefits of the passive regen vs blut :D
