Look people, we are all ignoring the big issue here: do I need to re-install my custom HUD?
PL_Frontier is a really fun map :)
after this update, tf2 is reinstalling itself, so 9GB of shit to redownload, FU VALVE

If valve was to blame for that, it would imply everyone else had the same issue. But seeing as it’s just you, maybe you should look to put the blame elsewhere ;)

did happen to me , but about 3 or 2 updates back, had to redownload the game
hey there, asking if anyone else has the same problem like me
after the last update (not this one, but the one before that) TF2 crashes if i try to get back into TF2 after I go to the desktop to do something e.g on IRC. weird thing when i ctrl alt dlt and close it there, it closes immediately in 2 seconds while before it took a couple of minutes to do it that way
tl;dr quicker closing down of tf2 but cant get back up from desktop

yep, same problem here :(
you can fix that by doing step by step:
1) start/exit tf2 with ur usual (prolly chris) cfg and launch options
2) remove mat_antialias cmd from cfg
3) remove -dxlevel from launch options
4) start/exit tf2 (and if needed adjust AA settings in game options)
this way, you can have any AA setting you want, but with dx81/90 instead of games default AA setting when u dont remove launch options
if you cba doing all of that: just do 2) remove mat_antialias cmd from cfg
but you will have the games default AA setting (usually 2x or 4x)
