lol Lan support in TF2 is just a pipe dream for top teams and a few lucky lower div teams who have a supportive MGO.
End of the day if tf2 ever wants to get lots of lan support you actually have to support lans first? Turn up support the game, win tournaments and help the community and orgs will stand up and take interest. Sitting there not doing anything yourself expecting others to pay for you is just lazy.
End of the day you may not have the money which is totally fair enough no ones forces people to go to lan, but if people are interested in making tf2 bigger this is the way forward :)
Remember tickets are £55 and the winning teams get prize money ON THE DAY not a long time after like multiplay.
Plus you get to drink, socialize , waterboard have a laugh or whatever you like to do at lan.

I can pay for the event on the 26th (when i get paid) i’m saying yes to this mix team now, lets get it sorted so this event can go ahead (and i can get tplay their prize money :D) I’m a div3/2 scout btw

I’d say you could count on one hand the number of orgs who have actually paid out on lan support rather than just promised it…
If you don’t go to LAN you are dead to me :E

If i went to epic i wouldn’t be able to afford i42 so the bigger event trumps it for me really. Plus no one would want a div6 shitter anyway :)

A quick double post here but I feel I’ve got to make something clear to those who have never LANed before or who are not sure if they want to attend. LAN’s are the biggest reason why I’d want to play games at any kind of competitive level. Sure you have fun online, but why spend a huge amount of your time sat behind a computer playing tf2, when you can put down just a bit of your money [it’s not a whole lot in the grand scheme of things] and have a fucking epic weekend.
I’ve never met anyone that hasn’t properly enjoyed themselves at a LAN, and in some respects these smaller LANs can be a lot more fun because the whole tf2 presence will be in the bar having some sexy good times.
In essence, what I’m trying to say [quite badly] is that you’re wasting you’re time playing tf2 and not attending these LANs when you’ve got the opportunity. Sure they cost some money, but you’re not gonna gain anything massively memorable from just playing online, but for sure you’re gonna remember whatever happens at LAN.
