For the record, I wasn’t disagreeing with Monkeh.

What do I replace in my sounds/ui folder? There’s not hitsound.wav, and naming my hitsound “hitsound.wav” doesn’t work.
HALP
Quoted from Monkeh
I haven’t used, or seen anyone using the buffalo/gru combo, but if valve are so ridiculously stupid that it made the heavy twice as fast as a scout, then they really aren’t clever enough to tie their own shoelaces, never mind make computer games. As this isn’t the case, I assumed it was closer to 1x scout, not 2. Chill man, it’s nearly Christmas!
yet you have spent 2200+hours playing their game :x
When you say it “doesn’t work”, do you mean it does not play anything at all, or do you still get the default sound?
I must apologise Monkeh, I was just being foul-mouthed and curmudgeonly for effect.
Peace and prosperity to all!
so… instead of fixing tf_dingaling_wav_override they simply removed it
Unknown command: tf_dingaling_wav_override
lul
at least hitsounds work, tho u cannot use different hitsounds 4 different class
Quoted from Mors Immortalis
It is working on sv_pure 1
AFAIK it wasn’t working on the day it was implemented, they fixed it a few days later
Default sound is annoying, what’s the point of this command if u cannot change the sound?
What’s the point of disallowing change to this sound anyways. It is used to get you some info.
If it was made on purpose -they can simply remove it as they used to do…
qft?

Default sound.
I don’t use a custom sound at all so I’m only guessing here;
Are you still using the override command (tf_dingaling_override?) etc? All the old tricks, basically.

Is that a fact? They still didn’t make the heavy twice as fast as the scout though, did they?
Read the changelog, just put your custom hitsounds in the sound/ui folder and rename it to hitsound.wav
