the title basically says it….
they used to work perfectly fine befor the update :(

Improved sv_pure:
Materials / Models / Sounds / Animations are more comprehensively protected.
Switched from CRC to MD5 hashes for stronger per-file validation.
Fixed some issues between custom files and server whitelists over level changes.
so what ? does that automaticly mean they are completely disabled ? i dont think soooooo

means you cant use it anymore, simple as that :(
switched to the default one as well, i suppose valve will implement a few custom ones in a future update, like they did with xhairs.
Good thing I gave up on custom hitsounds a while ago and rolled with the default one. I’ve already gotten used to the ear-splitting dings.
Quake hitsound was pretty awesome :/
