Taimou

never used it, and won’t be using it in future
target switching is slower , also feels that its hard to switch to certain target (like in granary there’s 3-5 guys running over each other and you have to heal the demo, not gonna happen with it.)

or are we talking about the script that auto heals what ever is in your crosshairs?

thats not a script, thats triggerbot

kuma

I don’t use the in-game autoheal, but I use the script where you click m1 once to lock onto a target. If I want to switch targets I’ll click m1 again on whatever I want to heal.

What’s there to track as medic?

Nothing. That was just a general statement that I felt like adding for no particular reason

wait what? thats exactly the thing the multiplayer option does O_O
so you have a script do work around the option, which does exactly the same the option does?

im using this option too, because its just better for my mouse and my hand.

I tried the auto thing back in the day and found it unquestionably less accurate and it felt more clumsy or clunky. Used it for about 10 minutes and decided never again.

Unless it’s been changed over the years I’ll stick with holding M1 down ta.

i use it and it very good!

but i still hold m1 all the time :D

I started using it a few months ago. It makes switching targets more seamless, you miss less uber charging time because when you switch targets there isn’t really a period of not-healing. At least this is how it feels to me. I didn’t do actual testing or timing.

Most people tell me that an autoheal script is way better than the built in autoheal but I didn’t get around to trying that yet. I don’t really feel the need either, as the standard autoheal doesn’t give me any problems.

^This.

i thought the multiplayer option healed everything you put your crosshair over, my mistake. i’ve used this since before the option was there i think, so never bothered to switch.

If I made a script to do the same but instead, it shoots whatever is in my crosshair as scout… would that be allowed? :)

Yes, but you would very quickly run out of ammo.

You’d have to get good for it to work properly.

So it’s out of the question for you :D

All the script does is reverse what’s normal. +attack all the time and -attack when mouse is down. It’s like the default vanilla medic but without the carpal tunnel!

im starting to think im not playing the same game as these scriptwriters

MEGAMIDDIE

On the very rare occasions I play medic, I use it. It means I can troll while I heal, or go afk without teammate noticing.

I think there’s some confusion here..

Are we talking about the advanced option which makes it so you don’t need to hold m1 to heal or are we talking about the script that auto heals what ever is in your crosshairs?

//autoheal
alias +autoheal "-attack"
alias -autoheal "+attack"
alias "weapon" "bind mouse1 +attack; -attack"
alias "healgun" "bind mouse1 +autoheal"

bind mouse1 +autoheal
tf_medigun_autoheal 0

I use the script because it feels nicer to play with. But i don’t play medic so my opinion is irrelevant.

tried out that script but everytime i switched weapons or classes it would keep +attacking lol what am i missing =/.
