But some didn’t set tftrue_no_random_damage to 1.
exactly silan , even if it sounds weird , but people who dont play in a top clan cant understand how boring it is to win games by 12/0 , even against others div1 clan
I’m sure Ubersexuals wont find it boring beating 4k 12-0 Mick
And anyway it’s not the 12-0 games that are affected by random damage, it’s the close games where a single nade randomly fired over a crate doing some randomly high damage takes out your medic and loses your team the round
As was pointed out to me yesterday if these higher values for random damage had a sound to show they were at the upper limit of the value (like a crit) then suddenly people would realise omg I just got luck-killed
Lets put this in simple terms, anytime you and your enemy end a fight both in the low red health, the fight could of gone either way
I tested it myself and didn’t notice a huge change. Nades do around 95-100 damage so it’s fine for me.
Yeh same, it just takes away the stupidly high and stupidly low values – I think ETF2L should arrange a small tornament to decide whether to use this plug-in for season-4
Mick you could start playing in a div6 clan if its boring for you to play in 4k :)
An obvious place to test this plug-in would be the pickup channel.
Also maybe it’s just me but the heavy seems slightly more powerful – which if true would be a good thing anyway.
fragga I had that idea already, and I think it is the most interesting way of test for now, quick and efective.
Version 2.1 released.
It adds a cvar to enables/disables the freeze cam.
Why would you want to remove the death cam shots?
Because it can gives out sniper’s position. I just added it because someone requested it, but I don’t really care if this feature is then used in leagues or not. I prefer having no random damage than this :P
If you have a Multiplay TF2 server it is now possible to enable TFTrue.
In ClanForge click Profiles and choose your server’s profile.
Click the Edit button
Click the Addons tab
In the Available category list choose “Gameplay altering Addons”
In the Available list choose TFTrue (2.1) [Image]
Click the Add button
To actually take use of the no-random-damage feature,
go to servers.cfg and add: tftrue_no_random_damage 1
Click Save
I might try running this mod for 24 hours in the pickup channel just to hear people’s reaction.
Edit: Actually, let’s say that the entire Saturday (starting from 00:00 CET) we will enable static damage.
