that’s the wrong way to look at it. the question to ask is “why would it”? tf2 takes steps to block lod hacks, all it does is change the base mipping of the textures as a side effect (despite what noam seems to says on the blog, LOD/texture quality are absolutely NOT the same thing). there is no generic consumer graphics card made after 2001 which is going to have problems loading the texture memory required by mat_picmip 2.
