What mvp said. Good idea to let the yank/pubber community know about what´s happening.

I love Commft and was sad that it didn’t cover Euro news back when I visited it regularly. If more Euro content becomes available I’ll definitely be checking back regularly again.

Unfortunately I’m not that much of a writer, so there’s not much I can do in the contributing my own articles part of things here.

Or you just relay Vanilla’s articles to CommFT through an RSS feed or something!

The more news, the better I’d say. We hardly see any news of NA scene or any other scene. I don’t see why we wouldnt exchange newsfacts :-)

This, the americans should relay their news to us through VanillaTF2 and in exchange we send them our news through CommFT. No reason NOT to but plenty of good reasons to do so.

:)

Why should i read about amerifags? Its not i am not interested. But the most interesting things they have to share are cevo predictions. Simply no.

Rather than doubling efforts and trying to come up with different news, perhaps with permission by Torden, the news posted on vanilla could be displayed on commft also, so the yanks get exposure to our news and our straight air strafing :).

How many americans check VanillaTF2?

This is our chance to reach out and let the US side of the community know whats happening over here.

At least, thats the way i see it, a lot of the stuff on it may be cross posted from Vanilla but its not for OUR benefit, its for the Americans benefit.

That pretty much sums it up. The various scenes of competitive TF2 (NA, EU, SA, AUS, etc) have been long divided and I have decided that I want CommFT to try to bridge that gap. As has been mentioned, CommFT is not a new site – we’ve been around quite some time – so we aren’t simply trying to get content without working for it. I’ve tried to get Euro writers to contribute relevant Euro content in the past and it was too much of a pain to work with them given time zone differences and lack of regular contact. With this system, anyone can submit anything at any time and we hope it will help us get to know what you guys are doing in your scene.

And I can confirm that very few Americans check Euro sites on a regular basis.

Why would they be interested when its posted on commft? If they are really interested they would already have vanillatf2 in their favorites. If they are not interested, then they will not really welcome euro news on commft.

As is the way with things like this, it is likely that many do not know where to check. If it is posted on CommFT, they will be able to get an idea of what is going on elsewhere without having to know all the relevant sites (and without having to know the relevant language in some cases) for the aforementioned regions.

Why not make a list of all the great websites every competitive player needs to know. Instead of making copycats of eachothers websites.

Is there any quality website that focuses on the american competitive community? One that has interviews, gossips, announcements and whatever. I havent found one yet. Otherwise you might want to focus on that first.
