‘ava’, not ‘avi’.
never have I seen ava, avi however i have – no, i’ve no idea why, neither do I care
Time to quote the best source of all ages.
Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ava_(disambiguation)
Look at the bottom: See also Avatar (disambiguation)
That page is linking to Avatar_(computing). A more obvious connection has never been proven. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avatar_(computing)
Wikipedia Audio_Video_Interleave en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_Video_Interleave on the other hand, shows us an entirely different story!
Audio Video Interleave (also Audio Video Interleaved), known by its acronym AVI, is a multimedia container format introduced by Microsoft in November 1992 as part of its Video for Windows technology.
I hope to have educated you, dear sir.
Also, out of personal experience. Avatar = ava, not avi. I’m an editor of profession and I can’t quite imagine slapping a 20GB avi on my Steam Community Profile.
