This may have already been suggested, but I think a matchmaking system would work well.
You set up a profile with your “Want to Trade” and “Want to Acquire” lists, some magic computer stuff happens to matchmake you with people with the opposite criteria, then you can start a trading session.

That doesn’t work too well because it doesn’t allow you to specify the amount of items/hats you want for a certain item. So you always talk to people and they’re like “I’m’a want 7 hats” and nothing gets done.

Also, Chieftan’s Challenge should be pretty common now, seeing as how it’s in the new crate series (#2).
