Just be aware that xman’s steam account has been hacked – either that or he’s got a virus. Usual spam message to trick you into giving your uname/pw. I’ve texted him about it, just a heads up.

…. so you’re saying i have a virus which embeds itself into steam, then makes steam simulate a message from a random person on my friend’s list linking me to a phishing web site?

If a steam phishing virus managed to get on a person’s pc, it’d sit there quietly keylogging. Why would it need to link me to a website to trick me into entering my details?

Come on, think it through.

Yeah i noticed ^_^ i got a random message off of Xman saying “LOL LOOK AT MY NEW PHOTOS ON DIS WEBSITE LOLOL” It makes me chuckle just to think about someone like xman typing that :-D

So right, a dude last night sent me this convo from deek with the obvious hacked message saying “I can’t open it D:”. I explained to him (or thought I did) that it was a fake hacked message and he shouldn’t bother trying to open it.

I just logged on IRC this morning and got a PM from him saying his account was hacked.

Fuck his life.

Don’t take links from him.
