i think tf2 does have the lowest skill public community of the games ive played, but having said that i know quite a few pubbers who are genuinely good at tf2.
theres a few people in this thread who need to get off their horses

Maybe you guys just play on the wrong pubs
Most people here are experts on a tiny tiny subset of all maps played on this game with an even tinier subset of team combinations.
Theres no variety, so its easy to get obscenely good through repetition.
