god, i love these questions you just can’t answer, because ppl are too stupid to put in some info…
I am in desperate situation, i must eat sandvich or chocolate bar with heavy? Discuss!
A sandvich is more healthy :O
ontopic.
You can use fps_max 61 so you will dont get more then 61 frames per second.
ofcourse there are some fpsdrops like everyone has.

I’d kinda like to do this too, If he means what I think he does, what kind of info is required? CPU/GPU etc or OS or current min/max FPS or…. or…. or…. what please?
The question is if it’s consistent with common sense to use fps_max “61” like it was to use com_maxfps “125” in Q3.
how could you hate this community. everyone is helping and not sarcasm/flame is trown at all. what was the part that you guys did not understand. i just asked if i should change my max fps or do you guys play with that also. HESUS.
I use fps_max 66, but its tf2.. so I still get tiny drops here and there, but I find it great using it, because if I dont, my fps jumps from 40-160 all the time, so things like rj’s and sticky jumps become annoying!
How the fuck we can help you if we don’t even know what freq are you using and how many fps you can get from your rig?
basically, put the max setting such that your fps is stable and doesn’t fluctuate
this obviously depends on your hardware and is something we can’t help you with without further info

that is exactly why i loked my fps. especialy when i was sniping i felt like my crosshair was behind my mouse if that is logic. also i loked it at 61 because it usualy stays at 60 and from what i know 60 fps is the optimal count for competitive gaming.
@kuma. yah, i know that but this thread was so i can see what the users of the forum use not just to tell me if it is good or not. thank you anyway :).

well fyi, i use fps_max 120 with chris’ high fps config
In practice, any value higher than your monitor’s refresh rate isn’t going to make any difference to what you can see.
I have mine capped at 120 for no particular reason.

Strange… I can feel a difference between 120 fps and 60 fps on my 60 hz monitor… And I prefer the 120 fps.
Am I nuts ?
