can’t we just stop this thread and have a nice time with our washing machines

he Maytag Bravos and Whirlpool Cabrio lines of energy-efficient top loaders both earn high marks in one independent test. Among top loaders, we found the best reviews for the Maytag Bravos MVWB750WQ (*Est. $900), which has the best performance in one test of top-loading washers. It is Energy Star-certified and comes in white. Premium colors, including red MVWB750WR (*Est. $1,000) and black MVWB750WB (*Est. $1,000), are also available. The Maytag Bravos washer has a 5.0-cubic-foot capacity, 13 wash cycles, a see-through glass lid and a spin speed of 1,100 rpm.
Unlike traditional top loaders, which use an agitator to circulate laundry in the water, the Maytag Bravos has an impeller (a fan-shaped device) at the bottom of the washtub that moves laundry in a circular pattern. As Maytag describes it: “The load is moved from the outside toward the middle with items coming up in the center and down on the outside edges.” It requires high-efficiency (HE) detergent, which produces fewer suds than regular detergent. In the past, HE detergent was more expensive, but now many budget brands are available (see our report on laundry detergent). The washer has a one-year warranty, with the exception of the motor and wash basket, which are covered for 10 years. This Maytag Bravos washer has matching dryers, the electric Maytag MEDB850WQ(*Est. $850) or the gas Maytag MGDB850WQ (*Est. $950).
Not only does the Maytag Bravos MVWB750WQ excel in independent testing, but it also gets high marks from owners. Users commenting at ConsumerReports.org give the washer four stars out of five in fewer than 20 reviews. The washing machine also gets a four-star rating from nearly 30 reviewers at HomeDepot.com, where users rave about its high capacity. “I can do an entire week’s laundry for three adults in two loads, and everything comes out very clean,” raves one owner. Other users describe this washer as quiet and a great value. However, we saw multiple complaints that the Maytag MVWB750WQ is too rough on clothes, leaving them frayed and wrinkled after the spin cycle. Others say their clothes get tangled easily, which causes the machine to become imbalanced and display error codes. On a positive note, we encountered fewer reliability complaints for this washer than we did for other top-loading washing machines.
The Whirlpool Cabrio line is another option for fans of top-loading washing machines, and these washers are a little more affordable. One good budget pick is the Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6200VW (*Est. $650), which is recommended in one recent test. The Whirlpool Cabrio uses a traditional agitator design, but it still meets Energy Star requirements because it has an internal sensor that determines how much water is needed for each individual load. According to Whirlpool, the washer uses 13 gallons less water per load than conventional top loaders. It has a 4.5-cubic-foot capacity, nine wash cycles and four temperature settings, but the WTW6200VW has a relatively low spin speed of just 950 rpm and it comes in white only. The Whirlpool has a one-year warranty and matching dryers are available, the electric Whirlpool Cabrio WED6200SW (*Est. $625) or the gas Whirlpool Cabrio WGD6200SW (*Est. $700).

Once when the Baby Bunny was even more little, she was hopping along the Bunny trail. And all of a sudden, to her left, and a little away from the trail, the Bunny saw a tiny little fluff ball. “Ooh, something to play with, and throw up in the air …”, the Bunny thought, and moved closer to it excitedly. As the Bunny got closer, the Bunny saw that the little fluff ball moved ever so slightly, and the Bunny got curious and even more excited … “A moving fluff ball? That’s really coo. May be I could tell the Bunny Father about it,” the Bunny thought all to herself, “Or may be I could take it to the Bunny Father and show it to him!” The Bunny got really excited with the idea, and hopped over to the tiny little fluff ball, and stretched her Bunny paws to pick it up.

“Ooh, what soft little fluff,” the Bunny thought, and then to her amazement, the tiny little fluff ball moved-again! And two shiny round little black eyes peeped out at her. Oh, they were the cutest eyes the Little Bunny had seen! They peeped out at her, and held her gaze for the slightest second, and disappeared into the fluff again. “I wonder whether he’ll peep out at me again,” the Bunny wondered, wishing the tiny little eyes hadn’t disappeared as suddenly as they had appeared. “I’ll sit here very quietly until he peeps out at me again …”

And as the Bunny waited, she tried to figure out what this little fluff ball actually was. “It definitely is a tiny little baby animal,” the Bunny thought to herself, “and a very cute one at that…” The Bunny decided to go through the list of baby animal names the Bunny Father had taught her the other day, and just then, just right then, the tiny little eyes peeped out at her again! Ooh, the Bunny was so excited! Ever so softly, the Bunny lowered her soft, black little button nose towards the ground, and said, VERY softly, “Who are you, little baby animal? And how come you have such nice, shiny little black eyes?”

“I am a baby laccoon,” the little fluff ball answered, slightly opening up from being a fluff ball, “and I don’t know why I have such black, shiny eyes”. He stopped for a moment, and then continued, “But I am vely hungly …” And then for the first time since the Bunny saw him, he uncurled himself, and turned to look around him. Oh, the grass was so green, and the ground so soft and this little Baby Laccoon looked so pretty with his white and maroon coat against the green backdrop of the woods. “Ooh, I wish the Bunny mother was here to paint this pretty picture,” the Little Bunny thought, but aloud she said, “You can have some warm carrot soup if you want to hop home with me. My house isn’t very far…”. She leallyy hoped the little Baby Laccoon would take up her offer, she leally did. The Little Laccoon turned his head to a side and thought for a moment, and then sniffed, “I guess I could. I am vely hungly, you know…”

The Bunny was ELATED! “Ooh, this is going to be so exciting, this is going to be so much fun,” she thought, “and who knows, may be he’ll stay and play a game of hide-my-paws with me after he has his soup …” “All light, Little Baby Laccoon, let’s hop on!” she said, and they both bounced through the woods towards the Bunny Hole. Outside the Bunny Hole, the Bunny mother was waiting, and she looked relieved when she spotted the Little Baby Bunny in the distance. “Look, Mother, look whom I brought from the woods to play with me…”, the Bunny shouted as she neared home.

The Bunny Mother squinted her eyes to look into the distance, and then, stared in disbelief. A Baby Raccoon! Could this be true? Was she really seeing a little baby raccoon? She really couldn’t believe her eyes, and she squeezed her eyes to make sure she was awake. And she was. And it WAS a real baby raccoon. “Your Father is going to be so thrilled,” the Bunny Mother sniffed to her Little Baby Bunny as she came near for a Bunny hug, “He always wanted a Little Baby Raccoon.” “Do you think he will stay with us, Mother? I do wish he would … He has the prettiest eyes you know, and the softest fur. And the strongest paws. And the bushiest tail …”, the Bunny went on.

“I will,” said the Little Baby Raccoon, “if you’ll give me the carrot soup you promised, and if we can play laccoon games every day”. “We will, we will!” chorused the Bunny Mother and the Little Bunny, and they hugged the Little Baby Laccoon. Then the Bunny Mother carried him inside the Bunny Hole. Moments later, they were all seated at the Bunny table with warm carrot soup in front of them, feeling very happy. The Little Baby Laccoon was perhaps the happiest, with thoughts of days and weeks ahead of him in which he could play the most favorite of all Baby Laccoon games: The Bunny Tlap!

THE END.

WTW6200VW is for retards

HAHA! it costs way less than your stupid LG things! while their performance is fine they break too much! deal with it, LG SUCKS

Top loaders, bleh. Go front loaders!

The review I wrote a second ago:

Summit’s little washer/dryer combination, the SPWD1160C, is one of a number of small units on the market that washes and dries clothing all in the same drum. It’s sold by retailers in large urban areas and is available online. Designed for use in apartments, condos and aboard ships, this machine gets a minimal amount of laundry done in a minimal amount of space.

The washer function on the SPWD1160C utilizes an onboard heater for getting water to the right temperature. The benefit here is very hot water, which means better cleaning power. Additionally, this heater prevents the washer from draining the hot water supply in your home. With this little unit, you can take a shower while it runs and never run out of hot water.

Although the capacity of this model is quite small (11 pounds), it is fairly versatile. The choice of cycles is sufficient for washing most household articles — even if only a few at a time. Three water level options give you a means to control water usage. The no-spin setting allows you to wash handwashables as long as you don’t mind hand wringing them.

When it comes to drying your clothes, things are a bit more challenging. Equipped with a condensation dryer, the SPWD1160C takes a long time to complete a drying cycle — especially if you are accustomed to a vented dryer. For that reason, we recommend considering this model only if you have no way to vent a more traditional dryer.

Lastly, we do have some concerns about the reliability of this model. Reports of the need for service have been frequent as has been the lack of availability of essential parts. For more information on the European-made Summit SPWD1160C, we suggest you contact the US supplier, Felix Storch located in Bronx, NY.

Pros: Fits a really small space, has an onboard heater, is Energy Star qualified
Cons: Very small capacity, slow drying, parts availability and service are concerns

fuckin’ creepy moot
on topic (stop derailing it you fool!) i think the Bosch WFVC5400UC vision 500 series Front Load Washer is better as:
efficient and is packed with powerful features, the Bosch WFVC5400UC is worth checking out. With WFVC5400UC’s variety of features. dealing with different laundry loads and types of fabric is a breeze. The product’s dimensions are 36 7/8 inches (height) x 27 inches (width) x 29 3/4 inches (depth).

Key features

– The unit uses EcoSmart Technology for smarter sensors and a more efficient washing process.
– The ActiveWater feature can turn 13 gallons of water into 400 gallons of washing power.
– EcoAction feature lessens your energy usage.
– Users can choose from 15 different washing cycles.
– When washing bulky and heavy fabric such as comforters, simply activate the Comforter Cycle for a more thorough cleaning.

– A smoother and more silent operation is possible with the WFVC5400UC’s AVS Anti-Vibration system.
– With its Energy Star rating, this washing machine can help you save energy and money in the long run.

Advantages

Because this machine is from Bosch, it uses EcoSmart technology for its sensors. For a more efficient washing and drying process, the unit has a maximum spin speed of 1150 rpm. These cycles include Comforter, Jeans, Quick Full, Quick Light 20, BabyCare, Delicate, Drain/Spin, and Wool/ Handwash.

If you’re some sort of neat freak, you’ll definitely appreciate the washing machine’s XxtraSAntiary feature which can heat up washing water up to 170 F. Getting rid of harmful bacteria commonly found on laundry items is also easier with the unit’s NSF certification.

If you want a more peaceful laundry time, this machine uses an AVS Anti-Vibration system. Plus, this product also comes with a two-year warranty and is backed by a Good Housekeeping seal. For proven durability, the tub is made of stainless steel.

The Bosch WFVC5400UC is packed with a lot of useful features but the price is expensive. Plus, some consumers have reported that the washer instructions or manual is missing from the package when delivered.
