No pls no win difference. You can give up the map. So easy is it.

What if we made it like in Quake where you can’t cap intel if your intel is away from base? Might make for a more exciting match if you’ve a player waiting in your base with enemy intel for the rest of your team to rescue your intel so he can cap.

That’s a TF2 Issue, not a league issue though

It is, unless you can set it up like that in the ETF2L config which I don’t think you can.

I wish we could make Turbine 20 minutes :/ It’d be so much more enjoyable that way. 30 minutes is just a draaaag.

Did our match annoy you that much?

I got so bored I went and watched another match 15 mins into your turbine game, my own hands were trying to strangle me to end the suffering..

Wouldn’t work in TF2.

tbh with a map like that you can get 20 caps in 10 mins or so if properly organised.
however considering the teams will be evenish id say 7/8

Just make a rule saying “the losing team can call gg when they are 8 points behind”, because if the losing team still think they can win then they should be allowed to try.

This.

This.

What would be the point of making this into a rule?

Teams can already call gg halfway during a game so pretty much a pointless rule.

That could be exploited really bad in TF2. Get a lead then move the enemy intel to your own spawn doors, even if 6 enemies camp your spawn you should be able to open the doors and refresh the timer.

You could in theory get a cap in the first minute, then get the enemy flag again and keep it on your spawn doors for the 29 remaining minutes and the enemy can’t cap as their flag is in your spawn.

The Quake cap system would only work if the Intel returned to base on a friendly touch, it won’t work with the intel timer TF2 uses.

True, worth trying maybe, if it’s possibly to have intel return to base on touch.

Or maybe a persistent timer. The intel can only be on the ground for say 60 seconds (or any other number) total.. if you pick it up when the timer is halfway done and then drop it again, the timer would start at the halfway point.

Nice idea, I like it – any modders able to do this?

That is to be honest one of the best ideas I’ve heard so far… it sucks when the intel has been on the floor for 55 seconds, a scout rushes in and dies on top of it to extend the time to 60 seconds again. Would speed up the game a fair bit in stalemate situations, and would be great for the pace of the game.

Well, at least in theory :)
