Yes, a friend and I made pyro paintball before arena came out. We’re now thinking of remaking it, but in the arena style.

Basically, it’s just a team of pyros with flares (as you suggested) who start off with 2 HP. First team dead loses (just like real paintball).

Edit: I’d like to edit to say since the beginning of pyro paintball (months ago, just before bball cup started) I had already been talking with some etf2l admins. They were enlightened by the idea and yes, we’re now going to make it into an arena map. Can’t really send you a demo, or even a finish date but we’ll get working ASAP. ;> There will be many betas so we can point out all the faults before the finished result. Even if it’s not turned into a cup, it’s great fun. :D
