Where do you propose the medic positions himself to avoid this shit, he can land almost anywhere on the map and is in mid air the moment he leaves the spawn area. Should the medic just never ever leave banana if the opposing soldier decides to simply equip the dumpster device?

Is that a problem with the weapon or the map? There’s underneath, the house and banana regardless and you should take into account there’s a bazooka in play so just play aggressively whilst you have heals and low % and when you have high % play a little more defensively cos that’s when it actually matters if your med is alive or dead.

It’s frustrating, it “triggers” people sure but isn’t the point to let these things in and play around them when they’re not clearly overpowered. When we see every single soldier running the bazooka permanently on each map, or just as the go-to comfortable weapon then it should be considered but it’s not enough of a threat and requires some thought to make the jumps work. Plus I mean you can always take advantage of the fact hartz is dead but thats just dumb LOL

Oh ye and communicate if you see he’s in the air and assume hes going for your med (and demo? but I’m not sure if thats a pick anymore)

Or this map.

Literally the only map where this isn’t a problem is steel because its mainly tight corridors.

People will never run beggars full time because it isn’t useful if you want to hold a flank, etc, but if you need a cheap med pick then you just switch to it and do a dumb suicide which you should be able to nail pretty consistently with a short amount of practice. The problem is there isn’t a counter to it, whether or not it succeeds is entirely dependent on whether or not the soldier knows where your medic is and hits his jumps correctly, if he does then he’s flying through the air from outside of your sight lines and landing on your med with multiple rockets ready. There isn’t a counter to that play even if you see it coming from miles away (unless you hit multiple airshots and kill him before he’s close to your medic).

Sort them by med picks, are you seeing a pattern yet? Maybe you should mentor all these prem teams since you obviously figured out something they haven’t.

If we’re not going to ban beggars, can we atleast ban hartz instead? B)

Ok aside from I’m going to respond even though I honestly don’t care enough and just wanted to be a simple shittalk but don’t all of those places have inside areas close to places you hold unless you’re talking about certain situations which I think the argument is flawed as I could pick a class and a weapon and a situation where its “OMG GUARANTEED PICK OP PLS BAN”

I honestly don’t see the problem though if its called and you KNOW that they’re running the bazooka. Just expect it. Then again I don’t play so I’m clueless.

Edit after seeing your edit and I don’t want to spam:

What’s the point that it gets med picks? You said it yourself they’re losing most of their games, granted with a newer roster but even before just because he has an annoying impact doesn’t mean he’s having a beneficial impact to the team itself?

All thats happened is somebody runs a different loadout to the norm, people haven’t adapted to it and they whine instead of change their playstyle.

countering a beggar’s is easy

just have a pyro that has brains for brains instead of sawdust if he’s going for medpicks, and if he’s holding the flank with one, why are you complaining?

Also, switching between a weapon for the situation the game demands is what makes TF2 unique, taking that feature away would only split us from the rest of the community even more. It’s like half of etf2l forgot the fucking game we’re playing.

Also, another point I wanted to make, perhaps the key to countering the beggars could be hidden in all those countless weapons that we’ve banned over the years, and perhaps some insight should be given in that regard.

There isn’t a way to counter it though. It’s entirely dependent on whether or not the soldier hits his jumps correctly and knows where your medic is, the defenders don’t have a say in the matter.

So instead of playing around and countering that weapon the entire time you’d rather only counter it when they make it work but then they’ve been baiting you the entire time by dieing repeatedly and that one time they get it to work is the time to complain? So you’re playing on the fact it’s unreliable…if it’s unreliable then how can it be broken?
