No smoke script

ive been using the no smoke script for quite a while and a year ago i upgraded my computer and the script still seemed to work. what i noticed recently is that the script doesnt work even though its in the right folder. it either shows up as several text documents (one for each weapon) or it sometimes shows up as a ctx file but it still doesnt work
does anyone have a fix to this or an updated version of it?

I found another way how to do it through my friend.
https://cfg.tf/tools/crosshairs/ and go to explosion effect and set it for each weapon
I had the same problem, when .txt files stopped working. Fixed it with replacing .txt with one .vpk (explosions_original.vpk)
